One of my favorite things about being a member of EGA is being able to attend our regional and national seminars. The main reason that members attend seminar is to be able to attend classes from great teachers from all over the country and learn new techniques or improve ones that we are already familiar with. That is great, but more importantly for me is being able to meet people from all over our region and the country who share my passion for needlework. It is so much fun to find out what other people are working on and to share new ideas, patterns and techniques. As much as our non-stitching family members and friends may support our habit, no one understands our obsession like other stitchers. I want to thank Jean Hubsch and Beverly Hunter, co-chairs of the seminar, along with all of their committee members for their hard work over the past two years and for their dedication to EGA. They have put many hours into creating a great experience for all of us. I hope that you will have an enjoyable time learning some great new things, meeting new friends, connecting with old acquaintances or just plain relaxing and stitching. I also hope that you will have some time to enjoy the beautiful Corning area. Looking forward to a great MER Seminar! Kit cost is additional and will be billed at the time of class confirmation. Meals (except banquet night) and overnight accommodations are not included with registration.

10 Celeste Chalasani Celeste is a designer specializing in stumpwork embroidery and teaches at chapter workshops, regional and national M EET OUR SEMINAR TEACHERS seminars. She teaches an online class for Craftsy and an EGA ICC on stumpwork. She has been published in Needle Arts, Piecework Magazine, and GPR Designers Celeste designed and donated her Poppy Remembrance Pin in 2019 to EGA s National Outreach Project supporting America s wounded service members. Celeste is enrolled in the National Academy of Needlearts Teachers Certification program. Teaching stumpwork is a labor of love for me. I am passionate about sharing what I know. I approach teaching from the understanding that different people learn in different ways. I strive to provide clear written instructions with step by step color photos, orally explain the technique with color coded visual aids, demonstrate stitches and techniques, and work one on one with each student as they practice their techniques. Dawn Fisher Dawn is a designer at instructor with Morning Glory Needleworks and has been stitching for 40 years. She fell in love with samplers and their history almost from the start. She is an avid sampler collector and reproduces many of them. This love means each original design is researched and often tells a story. During class, students not only learn new stitches, they also learn the story behind each design element. Dawn has taught at EGA Regional Seminars, sampler guilds, shops and taught an original design at a sampler exhibit at a local museum. Jennifer Riefenberg Jennifer enjoys teaching, including skills and the pure love and joys of art and creativity, and is active at national, regional, and local seminars. Jennifer holds Teaching and Judges certifications through National Academy of Needlearts (NAN) and serves on the board of NAN as the Assistant Director of Judging. Canby Robertson Canby Robertson has been designing and teaching embroidery, painting and calligraphy for over thirty years. She has a degree in fine art/art history and is an EGA Master Craftsman in crewel embroidery. Mary Alice Sinton Mary Alice began studying Japanese Embroidery in 1990 and traveled twice to Japan to study at Kurenai-Kai.
