1 avenspeak Quilts R an artist s expression in fabric Rose Hughes quilt artist, author, lecturer & teacher about the artist I am a quilt artist from Southern California who creates one-of-a kind quilt art pieces. Everyone has an organizing story or a special technique to share. As a project manager for a large technology company by day and a prolific quilt artist by night (or morning, night, weekend, whenever), I will share the various ways I have used to organize.

We¹ll reference magazines, photos, posters, brochures and whatever else tempts our imaginations and tickles our senses. We¹ll cut, paste, paint, dip and dabble in search of our own magic carpet of color, where the colors of our deepest personal expression can be found. Along the way we will capture all that we¹ve learned into a personalized COLOR MAGIC JOURNAL a record of the territory we¹ve visited for each participant to take along on his or her next color discovery tour.
