10 EMBROIDERY STEP 1 Prep fabric by applying 2 sheets of StabilStick TearAway to the wrong side of the fabric. Note - this stabilizes your fabric so it isn t too limp and produces a nice, crisp project. STEP 2 Hoop two sheets of Aquamesh. Sew placement stitch. Use thread based on the colorway you have selected, for example, if you are using white fabric, use white thread. STEP 3 Place fabric over placement stitch and make sure to cover stitches completely. Stitch cut line and tackdown. Optional - use TearAway tape to hold items in place. 10

11 EMBROIDERY STEP 4 Remove tape, carefully. Remove hoop from machine, DO NOT unhoop fabric/stabilizer. Trim along cut line. Repeat placement and cut line steps for the remaining appliques. STEP 5 Finish stitching design. STEP 6 Remove from hoop, trim Aquamesh ¼ -½ away from fabric, be careful NOT to cut your eyelets or buttonettes! Wash away stabilizer and let dry. Note - for instructions and tips, see last page. 11

12 ASSEMBLY STEP 1 For both entryways ( , ), lay flat with fabric side facing up. Pull all 3 flaps forward as pictured and attach the two buttonettes on the ceiling to the loops on the side walls. STEP 2 With the Front Wall FSA facing towards you, align and attach the 10 buttonettes on the entryways to the back side of the Front Wall FSA. 12

13 ASSEMBLY STEP 3 Choose desired marquee, lay flat with fabric side up and fold flaps to the back, attach the 4 buttonettes to the 4 loops on the marquee sides. You may choose to add text to your marquee, now is a good time to embroider a title on your theatre. STEP 4 When attaching the selected marquee to the front wall, make sure the slits for the marquee are on the top. Note - the slits will be used for the theatre sign. Attach the marquee the same way you attached the doorways pulling the 8 buttonettes through the 8 eyelets from behind the wall. 13

14 ASSEMBLY STEP 5 Note - make sure the posters on the side walls are towards the front of the theatre. Attach the 4 buttonettes on the front wall to the 4 eyelets on the side wall and repeat for the other side. STEP 6 With the fabric side of the Foundation FSA facing out, attach the 3 buttonettes to both doorways and ticket office. Then connect the two single buttonettes on the side walls to the foundation. 14

15 ASSEMBLY STEP 7 Shape Theatre Sign FSA as pictured below. Align tabs at the base to the slits in the marquee and allign the tabs at the back to the front wall. STEP 8 Attach the 4 buttonettes on the front of the roof to the 4 eyelets of the front wall, then attach the 3 buttonettes of the roof side to the 3 eyelets of the side wall. Repeat steps for the other side. Note - roof has identical front and back ends. 15

16 ASSEMBLY STEP 9 To attach the back wall, align and attach the remaining buttonettes and eyelets as pictured. We used 2 strands of pixie lights to achieve a well-lit theatre. Use your alligator clamps or tweezers to pull the strand through the inside of your theatre. 16

17 INSTRUCTIONS General Freestanding Lace Guidelines Supplies: General Instructions Embroidery Thread: 1. Hoop two layers of OESD AquaMesh Stabilizer. Use the same embroidery thread in the bobbin as the needle. 2. Attach the hoop to the machine and select the design of your Needles: choice.
