The second floor is access by stairs only. I will ask for as many first floor rooms as possible. Do you need a first floor room due to physical limitations? Yes No Handicapped Room Yes No Handicapped rooms have only one bed, so if you are requesting double occupancy, one of you would end up sleeping on a Roll-Away bed. The rooms have garden tubs, so if stepping over the tub is not a problem then one of the regular rooms would be better for double occupancy.

A separate check has to be paid to Don's Golf Carts) Yes No Room mate: Name: Please assign a roommate. Beginner Option (No workshops included) Beginner Class: Are you new to polymer clay? We will provide you with a basic tool kit for a small fee or a supply list and you can shop for the supplies yourself. We will contact you after you register about your options. Everyone who attends our new to polymer clay class will receive a one year free membership to the Orlando Area Polymer Clay Guild. If you are outside the Orlando Area, we will give you the contact information for a guild near you. The class will cover mixing clay, creating blends, molds and canes. Each student will leave with a finished project. The two night option will complete one project. The three night option will complete two projects. The 4 night option will give you extra time to work on the skills learned and more time to complete your projects. The Beginner's Basic workshop can only be taken once.
5 Workshop Details: Lynn Yuhr Making Your Mark with Kandinsky Class Description Playful mark making is used to create designs inspired by Kandinsky. We will explore mark making tools (purchased, found, up-cycled, etc) for polymer clay. Surface coloration is added using pan pastels, small polymer bits and acrylic paint for a patina. The layering of color both below and above the marks creates a cohesive design. The polymer design is then used to create disc beads with embedded findings. The funky designs provide a bracelet that will be sure to make an artful statement. You will have the option of purchasing a beautiful wooden component toggle from Banyan Bay Studios to finish your bracelet or you can use a simple lobster clasp and jump rings. Syllubus: Surface coloration Exploration of mark making tools for polymer clay, Repeated layering of colors and marks Use of embedded findings Wire working techniques to assemble the bracelet Supply List: Jewelry pliers (chainnose without grooves pliers, flatnose without grooves pliers roundnose pliers) flush side-cutting pliers optivisors pasta machine roller/brayer task lamp tissue-slicing blade work surface (smooth 4x4-inch tile)
6 Toni Ransfield The Art of Pen Making Have you ever wanted to make a professional looking pen, something beautiful, more than the usual Bic Pen? Challenge yourself with this class by first learning how to make 2 Millefiori canes. I will make it easy, promise!! No need to fear this class. I know you can do it!! I will guide you the whole step of the way. You can either bring canes already made or purchase a kit for the class, which will contain the necessary items to make a pen with or without a cane. The canes need to be pre-made, so they are firm. The ones we make in class will be too soft to use. I will show you how to slice them thin to apply them to the brass tubes, sanding as well as polishing the blank. Next you will assemble your pen kit. All the mysteries will be revealed in this class on how to create your pen masterpiece. You will leave this workshop with 2 canes and a finished pen. Experience level: All skill levels welcome.
7 Maureen Carlson Figuratively Speaking with Dorothy 6-Inch tall mixed-media Dot is a Dorothy wannabe as she loves rainbows, little black dogs and grand adventures. She even dresses the part in her gingham fabricover-polymer dress. However she didn't quite make the cut in the local play as she can't sing, thus her wistful expression. She can dance, though, as her polymer clay arms and legs are jointed with eye pins at the knees and elbows. For those people who are intimidated by sculpture, this project will be done in stages, concentrating on one part at a time, which is where the magic comes in. The first stage will be making the polymer clay feet, face, body and pantaloons. Molds will be available to help with the face. The second stage is the back of the head, the shirt and the laminated fabric-over-polymer dress, which is way easier than it looks. The precut pieces of fabric control the size and the soft polymer backing helps the gathers stay in place. The third stage is making the arms and adding the ruby-red slippers. After she cools from the final bake, her arms and legs will be attached and her wool roving hair will be glued in place, then tied with a silk ribbon. Skills learned will be the practicality of baking polymer clay in stages, working with wire armatures, laminating fabric over polymer clay, "sewing" with clay, making shoes, sculpting winsome faces, making basic hand shapes and creating simple wigs.
8 Retreat Only Experience Includes no workshops. Clay on your own, in a relaxed atmosphere, attend and/or give free demos, have use of Lake Yale. Campgrounds, plus attend events of the Fandango, including auction, boutique and vendors. Talented Artists have agreed to come and demo for the Orlando Clay Fandango. Other Activities Goody bags Brown Bag Swap Bead Trading Silent Auction Live Auction Demos Bottles of Hope Details will be posted on the Orlando Clay Fandango Facebook page. Find us on Facebook at
