Greetings and Welcome to our newest adventure into BJD via... a Cynthia Howe Mold - Chloe. This little *Miss* is our nod to Korean Manga/BJD and all the possibilites and combinations in dress on a doll 3 ½" tall. Her eye is literally the size of a pin head! Fran was painted with acrylic paints, and chalking. I am taking time off from teaching, exploring new techniques and instruction in my studio. This is one of the new efforts in 3-D painting. Tools & Supplies -Pipecleaner, cotton gauze, 100% cotton ball for doll construction using a pipecleaner armature. -Dress was created from antique lace handkie, silk sateen and silk taffeta.

2 Tools & Supplies -Pipecleaner, cotton gauze, 100% cotton ball for doll construction using a pipecleaner armature. -Dress was created from antique lace handkie, silk sateen and silk taffeta. -Aileens Tacky glue, and curved glue syringe are highly recommended due to the quick drying nature of that fine line of glue for seams. rd **Note** I use a 3 hand in the photos to hold her up. She stands quite nicely with a tiny bit of rd sticky wax on her feet - so I didn t want to put her on a doll stand. The 3 hand is my favorite tool and holds seams together while drying, torsos while wigging and feet while shoes dry.

Directions: 1. Assemble doll as desired.

Lastly pull a thread from silk ribbon (ruche) and glue

Next Glue a piece of the lace around her torso, overlapping back edges. Lastly pull a thread from silk ribbon (ruche) and glue up middle of lace, flattening with your finger. Add a flower from contrasting color. Lastly glue on waistband with silk ribbon.

5 To finish, simply gather and glue a piece of lace around her shoulders for easy finish of bodice/and sleeves. I then added decoration with a line of yellow ruched silk, and green ruched silk flower. Lastly add a few no hole beads for interest. You are now ready for the best part of all! Making her pretty (and easy hat) and hair.

6 Wigging is easy if you use your crimper on viscose! Then do a simple wigging cross and bun. Add tendrils and VOILA. **IF you are new and don t know what a wigging cross is, I have a video on it you can see by clicking to: TwH2DpI **NOTE** don t be afraid to use those stick pins to hold hair up while it is drying to keep shape!
