5 Parting Tl Tw types f Parting tls - Diamnd Blade Parting Tl and Thin- Blade Parting Tl Cutting edge is full 90 degrees t face f tl Shape blade equally n right and left t create a pint fr Diamnd Blade Tl Length f sides f pint equal the thickness f blade Use table set at prper angle Grind each side f pint at same angle t centerline f tl Pint fr the Thin Blade Tl is ffset between a rati f 20:80 Length f shrt side f pint is 1-1/4 the thickness f the blade - Length f lng side f pint is what it is Set Table at prper angle Grind shrt side f pint at 40 degrees and grind lng side t fllw prfile f grinder wheel Scraper Bevel the cuttingfl dge frm 70 t 80 degrees up frm hrizntal with tl held hri ntal Sme scrapers h ve a grind alng the left side f the blade that matches the bev I at the nse f the tl Use table set at f~m 70 t 80 degrees Place tl n tabj and grind the nse by mving the tl frm side t side Grind the side f he scraper, if it is sharpened, t match the grind n the nse by lving the tl alng the table frm side t side After the nse ana the side f the scraper have been sharpened blend the tw tqether with a shrt radius curve

6 Burrs and Hning Grinding will raise a carse burr n the cutting edge. This burr will be remved by the cutting actin f the tl. Hwever, during final finish cutting it may be desirable t remve this burr by hning. If a burr is desired t aid with finishing it is best t remve the burr caused by grinding and frm a burr with a steel used fr this purpse. Hning can als be used t freshen a recently grund edge between grinder Sharpening.
