Haven t you always wanted to learn to knit? Here is your opportunity. Needles and wool for day one will be supplied. Wed 2 nd August Wed 9 th August How to Crochet am 2.30pm - $45 per class Turn those chains into Granny squares join them together to make a great car rug, knee rug, giant bed cover the list is endless. 5 Patchwork Beginners Patchwork - 10 classes 9.30am 2.30pm - $40 per class Pauline will take you through the many techniques of a sampler quilt. You can work at your own comfortable pace to complete 10 or 20 blocks taking you from basic piecing to more complex blocks, framing, sashing, cornerstones, borders and binding. Class 1 Every Thursday for 10 weeks starting 27 th July thru to 28 th September Class 2 Every Thursday for 10 weeks starting 5th October thru to 7th December No patchwork or quilting experience necessary. A sewing machine is good working order essential Kits are available and can also be made in your preferred colour choice. Beginners and Skill Building Class 40 Shades of Grey 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month - 10 classes 9.30am 2.30pm - $40 per class Starting Saturday 12th August Denise will lead students through the basics of quilting, cutting, piecing and applique, along with effective colour and fabric selection, with the 40 Shades of Grey quilt. Each fortnight, a different technique and block will be covered, using rulers, templates and string piecing to name a few. Quilting and finishing of your quilt will also be covered. No patchwork or quilting experience necessary. A selection of fabrics curated by Denise, as starter kits are available. Thurs 20 th July am 12.30pm Prairie Double Log Cabin 9.30am 2.30pm - $45 Pauline will take you step by step through this easy but striking log cabin cross. 4 th August Girls Daisy Dress am 2.30pm - $45 Come along to this class and make a gorgeous daisy dress for your daughter, granddaughter, niece or just the girl next door. Trish will take you through the steps to turn a plain gingham dress into an eye catcher. We have the fabric, gingham, ricrac and piping cord in store. You will need either a tiered dress or A-line pattern that has a round neckline. If your pattern doesn t have a bodice/skirt seam don t worry Trish will show you how to adapt it. Sat 5 th August Oval Rope Bowl 10.00am 3.00pm - $55 (includes cord) In this class you will be stitching a corded oval basket with handles. Take one, two or three different fabrics, be that bright, coordinating or Christmas - the choice is yours. These baskets make wonderful presents for loved ones, but once you stitch one you will want to keep on making them. Classes will only be run if the minimum numbers of attendees are reached. You can book and pay for classes over the phone or in person. We offer morning and afternoon tea with tea, coffee and cold water available.
