1 State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota SCF Venice Chiller Plant Upgrade Project FAC Project No and ADDENDUM NUMBER #1 Date: December 4, 2017 NOTE: THIS ADDENDUM SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED ON THE BID FORM IN THE APPROPRIATE LOCATION OF ITS RECEIPT. The following should be recognized as Addendum No# 1 to Project No# & Description: SCF Venice Campus: All necessary work for the installation of new 300 ton chiller, refurbishment of (1) one 80 ton air-cooled chiller and the refurbishment of (2) two existing cooling towers that are 150 ton and 225 tons as per construction documents issued on December 4, 2017, and due January 5, 10:00 am. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: The following changes, additions, modifications, deletions and clarifications to the D r a w i n g s / P l a n s dated as shown (dated December 4, 2017 ) are herewith issued and shall be made under this Addendum Number 1 as a part of the Proposal due January 5, 2018 and acknowledged on the Proposal form. INSTRUCTIONS A. All work covered in this addendum is subject to the General and Special Conditions. B. This Addendum shall be acknowledged on the bid form and the cost of the work herein specified shall be included in the Base Bid. PART 1 REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS: PART 2 REFER TO DRAWINGS: Drawing M-101, Mechanical Floor Plan 1. Revise general note #6 to remove requirement to provide 400 tons of temporary campus cooling capacity. 2. Add keyed note #12 for bid alternate to replace all exterior condenser water piping and accessories (including CT equalizer line) in kind with new steel piping. Drawing M-300, Mechanical Schedules Revise Bid Alternate Summary Table to include the following: a. Bid Alternate #4: Replace all existing equipment isolation valves (chillers, boiler, pumps and cooling towers) b. Bid Alternate #5: Replace all exterior condenser water piping and accessories (including CT equalizer line) in kind with steel piping. PART 3 CLARIFICATIONS: *Addition of page 26 to bid documents to include new Alternate #4 and Alternate #5 page. This concludes Addendum #1. All other terms and conditions remain the same. INSTRUCTIONS A. This Addendum to the Specifications is issued prior to the receipt of bids. B. All work covered in this Addendum is subject to the General and Special Conditions. C. This Addendum shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form and the cost of the work herein specified shall be included in the Base Bid and/or Alternate lump sum amounts. D. If this Addendum lists additional acceptable manufacturers, manufacturers listed remain responsible for meeting the design and performance criteria of specifications and drawings, as shown.
