1 State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota State College of Florida, Audio Video Equipment for the New Library and Learning Center FAC Project No ADDENDUM NUMBER #3 Date: February 23, 2017 NOTE: THIS ADDENDUM SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED ON THE BID FORM IN THE APPROPRIATE LOCATION OF ITS RECEIPT. The following should be recognized as Addendum No# 3 to Project No# Description: Audio Video Equipment and installation for a new 2-story library of approximately 63,000 square feet issued January 20, 2017, and due 10:00 a.m. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: The following changes, additions, modifications, deletions and clarifications to the Drawings/Plans/Bid Doc uments dated as shown (dated January 15, 2017 ) are herewith issued and shall be made under this Addendum Number 3 as a part of the Proposal due March 1, 2017 and acknowledged on the Proposal form. INSTRUCTIONS A. All work covered in this addendum is subject to the General and Special Conditions. B. This Addendum shall be acknowledged on the bid form and the cost of the work herein specified shall be included in the Base Bid. PART 1 REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS: NA PART 2 REFER TO DRAWINGS: NA PART 3 - RFI CLARIFICATIONS: 1. Question: How are we to break out labor on the products? May we have a line item per section for materials, shipping, labor and direct cost? Response- Each section has a Total Amount = price that should include product, labor, and shipping for each section. Since most materials are purchased in bulk as a project whole, there is a single line item in misc. section for materials listed as Cable/Conn/Parts. Required Crestron cables are listed separately. 2. Question: May we substitute Draper for Da-Lite Products? Response: The products specified were chosen based on their manufacturer s warranty and most have optional or specified five year warranties, including Da-Lite. No other screen substitutions will be accepted. Page 1

2 3. Is AV contractor responsible for supplying user cables? (cables to plug into wall plates, input boxes, etc. Response: Yes, users cables are required. There is no specified brand preference. HDMI cables listed on Bill of Materials is to satisfy the requirements for Crestron infrastructure to get the full five year warranty. Cables from Laptops to input devices do not affect this requirement. 4. Who is responsible for all TV back boxes, table top boxes? Response: Table Top boxes in owner furnished furniture are supplied with furniture and details are not available at this time. Video receivers and wireless presentation devices will be located on mounts behind displays, no back boxes are required. 5. Who is responsible for conduit layout/drawings? Response: Conduits will be located behind installed equipment and stub above ceiling. Cabling in ceiling is to be installed per the scope on page AV-002. See detail on AV Question: Are there any one-lines/riser diagrams for Group Study B, C, D, E, H, I, J? Response: Furniture manufacturer and model are not available at this time. The design calls for tables where the display is attached to head of table and wire management is built into table. A single HDMI input cable will be required for displaying laptop. 7. Question: Are there any one-lines/riser diagrams for Break out rooms P, Q & open area. Response: Those are self-contained Microsoft Surface Hub units on stands. Backup HDMI input plate will get mounted on cutout in stand. 8. Question; Are there any one-lines/riser diagrams for Staff Workplaces? Response: Staff workspace is just a typical display on wall with single input plate. See detail on page AV Question: Are there any one-lines/riser diagrams for the Breakroom? Response: Breakroom is just a typical display on wall with single input plate. See detail on page AV Question: Drawing AV 102 has a room shown labeled Conference Room H. Which room does this correlate with on drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT- INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL? Response: The display allocated for the Staff Conference Room was moved into the Staff Break Room to allow for larger meeting space. No display is needed in Staff Conference Room. Lobby & Video Wall 11. Question: Drawing AV 601 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as Page 2

3 12. Question: Drawing AV 601 shows a quantity of two (2) Crestron DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G-W-T. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB- FINAL shows a total of one (1) DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G-W-T. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL also show one (1) Crestron DM- RMC-4K-100-C which is not shown on drawing AV 601. Please advise. Response: Bill of Materials is correct. There is one DM-RMC-4K-100-C located in rack wired to wall plate transmitter and the wall plate version DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G-W-T to be located up at the projector. 13. Drawing AV 601 shows a label for the equipment as Lectern Rack. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a 45 RU floor standing rack. No lectern model is shown. Please advise. Response: Bill of materials is correct. There is an equipment rack located under the stairs to contain this equipment. There is no Lectern in the Lobby. Group Study K, L, O 14. Question: Drawing AV 602 shows a note under the NEC display which states mounted on lift stand AVFI: LFT7000-WM. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT- INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL does not show AVFI mounts in equipment list. Please advise. Response: Bill of materials is correct. Only the Microsoft Surface Hubs are installed on lift stands. Multipurpose Room 15. Question: Drawing AV 603 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as 16. Question: Drawing AV 603 shows two (2) Da-Lite projection screens. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows one (1) Da-Lite projection screen and (2) Da-Lite projection screens. There are only two (2) projectors shown on drawings AV 603 as well as drawing AV-006. Please advise. Response: The Bill of materials should have (1) at head of room and (1) located in back of room on side wall for split/combine functionality. The second is not required. 17. Question: Drawing AV 603 does not show any notes or labels for the two (2) AVFI LE3060-MPL lecterns shown on drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT- INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL. What gear/equipment is going to be housed in lecterns? Response: Each of the lecterns gets a Microphone desk stand and gooseneck mic. Output of desk stand should connect to input on specified lavalier wireless microphone. This will allow the lectern to remain mobile without any required tethering. Creativity Studio 18. Question: Drawing AV 604 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as Page 3

4 19. Question: Drawing AV 604 shows a quantity of eight (8) Crestron SAROS-IC6T. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of twelve (12) Crestron SAROS-ICE6LPT-W-T-EACH. Please advise. Response: Bill of materials is correct. There are (12) total speakers. 20. Question: Drawing AV 604 shows a quantity of one (1) Crestron USB-EXT. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of two (2) Crestron USB-EXT. Please advise. Response: Bill of materials as well as AV-006 are correct. There is only one USB extender. The keyboard for the Microsoft Surface Hub is wireless. 21. Question: Drawing AV 604 shows a label for the equipment as Lectern Rack. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a lectern as well as a 45 RU floor standing rack. Please advise if both are required and which equipment is to be housed where. Response: Bill of materials is correct. There is an equipment rack room for the equipment. 22. Question: Drawing AV 102 as well as drawing AV-006 show a quantity of one (1) Microsoft 84 Hub. Provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of two (2) Microsoft 84 Hub s. Please advise. Response: Bill of materials, AV102 and AV-006 are correct. There is only one (1) Microsoft 84 Hub. Seminar Room 23. Question: Drawing AV 605 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as 24. Question; Drawing AV 605 shows a label for the equipment as Lectern Rack. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a lectern as well as a 45 RU floor standing rack. Please advise if both are required and which equipment is to be housed where. Response: Bill of materials is correct. There is an equipment rack room for the equipment. Lectern is mobile lectern with no technology for use by instructor. Visualization Room Page 4

5 25. Question: Drawing AV 606 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as TSW-760-B-S. Please advise. 26. Question: Drawing AV 606 does not show any Crestron HD-EXT3-C-B-SYSTEM. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of two (2) Crestron HD-EXT3-C-B-SYSTEM. Please advise. Response: One HDMI output from the DM-MD8x8 frame will feed a Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E distribution amplifier which feeds the two HD-EXT3-C-B-SYSTEM extenders. This allows for the local computer to be seen on the two Microsoft Surface Hubs. 27. Question: Drawing AV 606 does not show any Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of one (1) Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E. Please advise. Response: One HDMI output from the DM-MD8x8 frame will feed a Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E distribution amplifier which feeds the two HD-EXT3-C-B-SYSTEM extenders. This allows for the local computer to be seen on the two Microsoft Surface Hubs. 28. Question: Drawing AV 606 shows seven (7) digital media input cards. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of nine (9) digital media input cards. Please advise. Response: The two DMC-4K-C-HDCP2 ( ) listed on Drawing AV-006 and on the Bill of Materials are not needed. The room PC will be located in the equipment rack and connect directly to the switcher. 29. Question: Specified Matrox M9188-E2048F PC card is a 8 output unit which utilizes mini display port connectors. The digital media input cards are all specified as HDMI input cards. Please specify which interconnect cables to use. Response: The Matrox M9188-E2048F PC Card includes both adapters for DVI and HDMI for all channels. The HDMI output adapters should be used to go into the HDMI inputs on the digital media. 30. Question: Drawing AV 202 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT- INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of two (2) Microsoft 84 Hubs. Drawing AV-006 does not show any Microsoft 84 Hubs. Drawing AV 606 does not show any Microsoft 84 Hubs. Please advise. Response: Bill of Materials is correct. One HDMI output from the DM-MD8x8 frame will feed a Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E distribution amplifier which feeds the two HD-EXT3-C-B-SYSTEM extenders. This allows for the local computer to be seen on the two Microsoft Surface Hubs. Film Production Studio/Gallery 31. Question: Drawing AV 607 shows a Crestron TSW-750-B-S for the touch panel. Drawing AV-006 as TSW-760-B-S. Please advise. Page 5

6 32. Question: Drawing AV 607 shows a quantity of twenty (20) Crestron SAROS-IC6LPT. Drawing AV- 006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of eighteen (18) Crestron SAROS-ICE6LPT-W-T-EACH. Please advise. Response: Answered in Addendum Question: Drawing AV 607 does not show a lectern rack note/label. Drawing AV-006 as well as provided excel sheet titled AV-EQUIPMENT-INFORMATION-TAB-FINAL shows a quantity of one (1) AVFI: LE3040-BLK. Please specify which equipment is to be housed inside the lectern. Response: There is no equipment rack room for these rooms. All audio visual equipment for both the Film Production Studio and the audio amplifier for the Gallery need to be installed in the AVFI LE3040-BLK lectern for this room.
