1 ADDENDUM 002 Addendum to the Drawings and Specifications dated, March, 2019, for Vincennes University, located at the Vincennes Campus in Vincennes, Indiana, as prepared by Andrew Young, Campus Architect, Vincennes University. All Contractors bidding on this project shall read all of the items covered below and shall comply with all of the requirements as set forth, including any necessary refinements or additions generated by this Addendum and required by the intent of the original contract documents. All Contractors shall acknowledge on their bid form that they have received this Addendum and included the appropriate content of same within their bid proposal. For the Convenience of the bidders, bid categories possibly affected in price and/or construction by the various items in this addendum are listed at the beginning of each item. GENERAL ITEMS: 1. General Sheet A1.1, A1.2, A1.3: Stair Tread Cover Clarification A. North Stair (Room # s 134, 201, 304) a. Tread equal to Johnsonite, Tread with Photoluminescent - PVIHD nosing (Tread only), color and pattern to be selected from manufacturer s full range. B. East Stair (Room # s 122, 223, 319) a. Tread and Riser combo equal to Johnsonite, Photoluminescent PVIHD nosing, color and pattern to be selected from manufacturer s full range. C. West Stair (Room # s 139, 206, 301) a. Tread and Riser combo equal to Johnsonite, Photoluminescent PVIHD nosing, color and pattern to be selected from manufacturer s full range. AD.02 1

2 SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Specification Section: HVAC Piping Insulation A. To clarify section 1.2, B: a. The existing heat pump piping loop consists of uninsulated steel/copper pipe. This system shall be converted into the new heating hot water system (180 F water) and shall require insulation. b. Project scope includes a new chilled water system (44 F water) which shall also require insulation. c. The existing condensate collection system consists of uninsulated steel/copper/pvc pipe. This system shall remain in place, to be re-used with new fan coil units, and shall require insulation. 2. Specification Section: Instrumentation and Control for HVAC A. Add section 1.1, G: a. All temperature control wiring shall be plenum-rated cabling, to be installed in workmanlike manner with J-hooks conduit not necessary. 3. Specification Section: Variable Frequency Drives A. Add section 1.1, A, 1: a. Chiller & ERV-1 VFD s shall be integral to the equipment. Electrical Contractor shall provide for power circuiting, complete with final terminations, to the equipment control panel. b. MAU-1 VFD and all other VFD s shall be provided and installed by Mechanical Contractor. Electrical Contractor shall provide for power circuiting, complete with final terminations, to the VFD itself. Temperature Controls Contractor shall provide circuiting from the VFD to the motor. 4. Specification Section: HVAC Ducts and Casings A. Add section 3.1, K: a. Install exterior ducts with double-leg enclosed duct supports, as detailed. Premanufactured duct support #PHP-D Enclosed, by PHP Systems, are approved, but must be installed with adhesive between membrane/pad/base. 5. Specification Sections: Fan Coil Units AD.02 2

3 A. Add section 1.1, C: a. All new fan coil units shall be installed in same location as existing heat pump units, with exception of: 1. Fan coil units that are new, so that new hydronic & condensate pipes need installed: FC-302B, FC-318B, FC-329B, FC-320A. 2. Fan coil units that have shifted location, so that hydronic & condensate pipes need to be extended: FC-330, FC-303A, FC- 329A, FC-328A, FC-328B, FC-321A, FC-321B. B. Add section 1.1, D: a. Mechanical Contractor shall demolish/remove existing VAV boxes & electric heaters associated with existing FC-119, FC-126, FC-217, FC-312, as shown on drawings, and install new insulated duct to replace box/heater. b. Electrical Contractor shall disconnect existing VAV boxes & electric heaters associated with existing FC-119, FC-126, FC-217, FC-312, as shown on drawings, and remove circuit back to feeder panel. C. Below photos show a typical existing heat pump piping configuration. AD.02 3
