LOUIS, MISSOURI 0 TO BID DOCUMENTS DATED DECEMBER, 0: BIDDERS are hereby informed that the Construction Documents for the above referenced project are modified and amended as follows: This Addendum is issued before execution of contract to inform bidders of revisions to the Bid Documents. This Addendum is hereby made a part of the Bid Documents and shall be included in the Contract. All bidders shall include in Bid Proposal the modifications to Drawings and Specifications described herein. The requirements contained in Bidding Documents shall apply to the Addendum. The work called in this Addendum shall be the same as set forth in the applicable portions of the Bid Documents unless otherwise specified in this Addendum. All incidental work necessitated by this Addendum as required to properly complete the Work shall be included in the Bids even though not specifically stated in this Addendum. It is the responsibility of the General Contractor to verify that appropriate subcontractors are aware of any and all addenda items affecting the scope of work. 5 SECTION ROOM IDENTIFICATION SIGNAGE PART - GENERAL DESCRIPTION This section specifies basic room indentificaion signage for room numbers, rest room identification, code required signs and identification signs. RELATED WORK Lighted EXIT signs for egress purposes are specified under Division. MANUFACTURER'S QUALIFICATIONS Sign manufacturer shall provide evidence that they regularly and presently manufactures signs similar to those specified in this section as one of their principal products. Manufacturer's product submitted shall have been in satisfactory use on three installations similar or equivalent to this project for three years. SUBMITTALS Submit in accordance with Section 0000, SAMPLES AND SHOP DRAWINGS. Samples: Sign panels and frames, with letters and symbols, each type. Manufacturer's Literature: Showing the methods and procedures proposed for the concealed anchorage of the signage system to each surface type. DELIVERY AND STORAGE Deliver materials to job in manufacturer's original sealed containers with brand name marked thereon. Protect materials from damage. PART - PRODUCTS GENERAL Signs shall be of type, size and design shown on the drawings and as specified for each door opening as indicated on the drawings and schedules. Door nameplates shall be in length as required to incorporate the lettering for the room name indicated on the "Finish Schedule" on the drawings. Signs shall be complete with lettering, framing and related components for a complete installation. Subject to compliance with requirements, provide signs as manufactured by one of the following: ASI Sign Systems Best Manufacturing Sign Systems Scott Sign Systems, Inc. FABRICATION Sign panels shall be minimum / inch thick solid or laminated acrylic plastic. Sign panels and frames shall be color selected by the architect from a standard price range of plastic equal to color manufactured by ASI Sign Systems, except where special colors are specified. 6 0 0 0 Letters or numbers shall be standard color as selected by Architect, equal to color manufactured by ASI Sign Systems with Helvetica Medium type face. Letter and numbers shall have non-beveled edges. Room Number Signs: Sign panels shall be inches wide by inches high. Sign panels shall have /-inch thick, -/ or -/ inch high, raised numbers and letters, acid welded to the sign panel. Room number signs for mechanical rooms shall be by inches. Rest Rooms: Sign panels shall be of one piece, by inches, with photographically reproduced graphic symbols indicating accessibility and universally accepted symbols. Copy shall be /-inch thick, minimum /-inch high raised numbers in capital letters, acid welded to the sign panel. Room names shall be MEN or WOMEN (with wheelchair symbol where required). PART - EXECUTION LOCATION/INSTALLATION Locate signs where shown, except as directed by the Architect. Sign panels and frames shall be installed with epoxy, silicone adhesive or mechanical fastening devices such as screws, plugs or expanding wall anchors, all of which are to be concealed.
