That number is called the Lightning Ball, and when it strikes, players can use it to match to the winning numbers. You can win by matching at least 3 numbers in 1 play to the numbers drawn, or by matching just 2 numbers and the Lightning Ball to the numbers drawn. Example: If you match 3-of-6 numbers drawn, you win $2. But if a Lightning Ball appears and it also matches another number drawn, you now match 4-of-6 numbers and win $30 instead. Odds of a set of two plays each getting a Lightning Ball, 1:3.

3 February Gilman Corner Store 120 East Main St. Gilman, WI (Left to Right) Gilman Corner Store Co-owner, Angel Brost with staff Chad, Bonnie, and Monte We're staying up north again this month but traveling a little further west to the village of Gilman (pop. 410) in Taylor County. Gilman is "Home of the Swinging Bridge" on the scenic Yellow River. This suspended cable bridge is one of the last true swinging bridges left in Wisconsin. Other nearby places to visit are the Chequamegon National Forest, the Ice Age Trail, and the Perkinsstown Winter Sports Area. The "Perkinstown Tramp", 3-mile and 6-mile snowshoe races occur each January. In past years, Gilman hosted Snieg Fest (Polish word for snow). This winter festival featured a variety of fun and creative events including horse-drawn hay rides, ice bowling, snow volleyball, a torch light parade, and frying pan toss. Our Retailer of the Month, Gilman Corner Store, is owned by the Brost family. Prior to entering the convenience store business, the Brosts owned and operated Marshall Cheese. In 1994, the family purchased the original corner store which was a service station and garage. In 2016, they built the current location next door to serve the Gilman community. The new store has three gas bays plus bays for both on and off-road diesel. They sell their own brand of take and bake pizzas; many weeks selling more pizzas than the population of Gilman! Gilman Corner Store carries 18 facings of scratch tickets with the most popular being crossword games. The most popular price points here are $20 and $10. If you need directions or want to learn anything about the area, stop in and chat with the retired local store regulars always present and willing to share their knowledge. February Important Contract Renewal Information Beginning in 2019, these reminders will be included with all contract renewals: Under state law (Wis. Stats ) the Lottery cannot renew a retailer contract if during the immediately preceding 10 years the person has been convicted of, or entered a plea of guilty or no contest to, a felony, gambling-related offense, fraud or misrepresentation, or has been finally adjudged to be delinquent in the payment of taxes. Taxes due to the Department of Revenue must be paid in full in order to renew a Lottery contract. An installment agreement does not relieve retailer of a delinquency. A Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification, is enclosed with each renewal and must be completed, signed, and returned with your renewal application. The Lottery reserves the right to terminate the contract of any retailer who incurs three or more Non-Fund Transfers (NFT) within a 12-month period. Wisconsin Lottery scratch tickets are valid for 180 days after a game has ended. When a game ends, tickets are no longer available to retailers and are returned to the Lottery. When an ERROR message appears when scanning a ticket on the retailer terminal, the same message will also occur at the Lottery's redemption terminal.
