Oregon Lottery research for the 2011 Business Year showed that 29% of Scratch-it sales came from Crossword games, in comparison to 6% of sales reflecting Bingo games and 65% of sales coming from other types of Scratch-its. By promoting Crossword Scratch-its, you can help encourage new and current Scratch-it players to give crosswords a try for some extended fun! St. Patrick s Day Raffle SM Announcement Coming March 16! Get ready, get set, go! It s time to chase the rainbow and catch the leprechaun s pot o gold! The St. Patrick s Day Raffle SM winner announcement is coming up on Friday, March 16! During this time, our $1 million prize winner will be announced. 2 Fort George Brewery Brewing jobs & more with the help of Lottery funds With the help of Oregon Lottery funds, a new business is thriving in Astoria, and creating new jobs for local Oregonians. That business is Fort George Brewery. This local brewery was able to build a new 8,000 sq. foot production facility, purchase a canning line and add cold storage, with the help of Lottery funds and Business Oregon. Great Customer Service At Naps Thriftway! Rich Peterson, owner of Naps Thriftway, sets the bar high for implementing Lottery recommended best practices. He has worked at this location for 35 years and has owned it for 19. He is also actively involved in various community outreach efforts which integrate his business with the community of Newberg. Peterson s team supports his efforts in providing excellent customer service. Theresa, who runs the Customer Service Counter, is very knowledgeable about Lottery games and has built great relationships with customers. Every morning, Rich and Theresa verify that inventory is stocked and all 108 facings in the store remain full. This location sells an average of over $11,000 in Lottery products each week! Naps Thriftway is well organized, and all of its staff members support each and every Lottery game, including Raffle SM. The staff enjoys building excitement with their customers when Raffle tickets go on sale and count down the days until sell out. Security Tips Preventing Ticket Errors When a customer purchases a draw game ticket, please take the following steps prior to printing their ticket: By using the verification screen, first verify the ticket (type and amount), then accept payment from the customer and print the ticket. These steps will help to successfully eliminate ticket errors.
