17 QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE OCTOBER 2018 FAQ S FOR LOTTERY RETAILERS What do I do if I have a Player who presents a Winning Ticket for $600 or more? If, while validating the ticket, the message Exceeds Cash Limit, File Claim Form appears on the ticket receipt, return the original ticket and ticket receipt to the Player. Instruct the Player to sign the back of the ticket immediately, and give the Player a Winner Claim Form. Instruct the Player to make a copy or take a picture of the ticket and Winner Claim Form for their records. Inform the Player that in order to receive the Prize, the original ticket, along with a Winner Claim Form, must be mailed to the following address: California Lottery 730 North 10th Street Sacramento, CA Attn: Prize Payments If the Player prefers to hand deliver the winning ticket, inform them to call and speak with Customer Service. Lottery Customer Service can give the Player directions to the nearest Lottery District Office to claim the Prize. If the terminal is still offline/down call IGT at IGT will instruct you on the correct procedure to bring the terminal back online. If IGT is unavailable or cannot assist you at the moment, call the CA Lottery Retailer Hotline at and press option 4. You will be directed to the correct representative to assist you. What do I do when I get a message stating ALREADY CASHED? If you get a message stating TICKET ALREADY CASHED AT THIS RETAILER when cashing a ticket, please read the Altura terminal! The screen will show the Retailer number, prize amount, and date of the transaction. If the credit has been issued to your location for that ticket, and you have not already paid the prize, you may pay the player.
