Total supply currnt for four oprational amplifirs is 6m maximum at 5V supply voltag. It is manufacturd with dvancd inar Dvics' nhancd CMOS silicon gat CMOS procss. Th /B/ is dsignd to offr a trad-off of prformanc paramtrs providing a wid rang of dsird spcifications. It has n dvlopd spcifically with th 5V singl supply or ±2.5V dual supply usr andoffrs th popular industry pin configuration of M324 and IC7641 typs. Svral important charactristics of th dvic mak many applications asy to implmnt for ths supply voltags. First, th oprational amplifir can oprat with rail to rail input and output voltags. This fatur allows numrous analog srial stags to implmntd without losing oprating voltag margin. Scond, th dvic was dsignd to accommodat mixd applications whr digital and analog circuits may work off th sam 5V powr supply. Third, th output stag can driv up to 4pF capacitiv and 5KΩ rsistiv loads in non-invrting unity gain connction and doul th capacitanc in th invrting unity gain mod. Ths faturs, coupld with xtrmly low input currnts, high voltag gain, usful andwidth of 1.5MHz, a slw rat of 2.1V/µs, low powr dissipation, low offst voltag and tmpratur drift, mak th /B/ a truly vrsatil, usr frindly, oprational amplifir. Th /B/ is dsignd and faricatd with silicon gat CMOS tchnology, and offrs 1p typical input ias currnt. On-chip offst voltag trimming allows th dvic to usd without nulling in most applications. Th dvic offrs typical offst drift of lss than 7µV/ C which liminats many trim or tmpratur compnsation circuits. Th /B/ CMOS oprational amplifir uss a 3 gain stag architctur and an improvd frquncy compnsation schm to achiv larg voltag gain, high output driving capaility, and ttr frquncy staility. Th /B/ is intrnally compnsatd for unity gain staility using a novl schm. This dsign producs a clan singl pol roll off in th gain charactristics whil providing for mor than 7 dgrs of phas margin at th unity gain frquncy. unity gain uffr using th / B/ will typically driv 4pF of xtrnal load capacitanc without staility prolms. In th invrting unity gain configuration, it can driv up to 8pF of load capacitanc. Compard to othr CMOS oprational amplifirs, th /B/ is much mor rsistant to parasitic oscillations. 2. Th /B/ has complmntary p-channl and n-channl input diffrntial stags connctd in paralll to accomplish rail-to-rail input common mod voltag rang. With th common mod input voltag clos to th powr supplis, on of th two diffrntial stags is switchd off intrnally. To maintain compatiility with othr oprational amplifirs, this switching point has n slctd to aout 1.5V aov th ngativ supply voltag. s offst voltag trimming on th /B/ is mad whn th input voltag is symmtrical to th supply voltags, this intrnal switching dos not affct a larg varity of applications such as an invrting amplifir or non-invrting amplifir with a gain gratr than 2.5 (5V opration), whr th common mod voltag dos not mak xcursions low this switching point. 3. Th input ias and offst currnts ar ssntially input protction diod rvrs ias lakag currnts, and ar typically lss than 1p at room tmpratur. This low input ias currnt assurs that th analog signal from th sourc will not distortd y input ias currnts. For applications whr sourc impdanc is vry high, it may ncssary to limit nois and hum pickup through propr shilding. 4. Th output stag consists of class B complmntary output drivrs, capal of driving a low rsistanc load. Th output voltag swing is limitd y th drain to sourc on-rsistanc of th output transistors as dtrmind y th ias circuitry, and th valu of th load rsistor whn connctd. In th voltag followr configuration, th oscillation rsistant fatur, comind with th rail to rail input and output fatur, maks th /B/ an ffctiv analog signal uffr for mdium to high sourc impdanc snsors, transducrs, and othr circuit ntworks. 5. Th /B/ oprational amplifir has n dsignd with static discharg protction. Intrnally, th dsign has n carfully implmntd to minimiz latch up. Howvr, car must xrcisd whn handling th dvic to avoid strong static filds. In using th oprational amplifir, th usr is advisd to powr up th circuit for, or simultanously with, any input voltags applid and to limit input voltags to not xcd.3v of th powr supply voltag lvls. ltrnativly, a 1KΩ or highr valu rsistor at th input trminals will limit input currnts to accptal lvls whil causing vry small or ngligil accuracy ffcts.
