2 October Releases Nutcrackers Full Collection/Diamond Club Release For our Nutcrackers collection we decided to create 12 jumbo designs and quilt designs to go with them so you can create a project without measuring. Each Nutcracker is beautifully embroidered using 100% stitches. Centering embroidery design on fabric and then trying to piece a quilt top or pillow often leads to complications, we decided to make it easier. Each Nutcracker comes in 3 sizes and each design comes in a quilt block along with stippling. We also included a smaller Nutcracker for the 5 x 7 hoop. There are two different border designs included so that when they are added to the quilt block complete a pillow top or quilt block. Blanket Stitch Christmas Blocks Mix & Match Collection When we were designing this collection we wanted to create a look that was created by hand while being completely done on your embroidery machine. This collection went through a lot of revisions and color changes before this end result was achieve. We finally decided on a gold and silver tonal color combination. These colors make the designs look luxurious and vintage. The 20 main designs come in blocks and as individual designs. The blocks all include beautiful hand stippling and gorgeous borders. There are also folded fabric blocks, running stitch blocks and blank blocks included in the collection. Whatever type of quilt you want to create we are giving you plenty of options. Christmas Stockings 2 Mini In the Hoop Collection/Diamond Club Release If you loved the Vintage Christmas Stockings you are going to love our new In the Hoop collection, Christmas Stockings 2. There are 12 beautifully digitized classic Christmas designs complete with ornate scrolls and borders. The designs actually run into the seams so the finished project looks like you bought it in a fancy boutique. The best part about this is that you complete the stocking completely in your embroidery hoop with absolutely no additional sewing. This is a truly unique technique that will give you amazing results and best of all it is incredibly easy. Vintage Elegance Full Vintage Collection When we were designing Vintage Elegance we wanted to create a light and airy collection that includes cutwork and applique. We started by choosing our fabric. We picked bright floral prints in pinks, blues and greens. We then chose thread colors to compliment the fabric. When we were digitizing the collection we chose cutwork stitches, light contour stitches, applique and candlewick stitches. When we stitched the designs we used the fabric we chose for the project in the designs as applique material so everything ties together perfectly. When you stitch these designs you will love how light they are, they will look great on tea towels, tablecloths and even clothing. 2

3 Tips, tricks & Ideas We devised a way to cut down on fabric usage. Instead of cutting a large piece of fabric as your base to hoop you are going to hoop a piece of inexpensive muslin or cotton. You will then use your base fabric as an appliqué. It is a very simple technique and it eliminates fabric wastage. You will also not need to center your designs before cutting your blocks; this is all done in the design itself. You projects will be done in half the time! Here is what you will need for each block to start the project. 1. Muslin and Floriani No Show Mesh cut to the size of your embroidery hoop. 2. Your base fabric cut to 1 larger than your design - example 9 x 9 for the largest block. Stitch step one of the design This is your squaring stitch. Blanket Stitch Christmas Blocks Mix & Match Collection Next place your base fabric down so that it overlaps your guide stitch evenly on all sides Stitch step two of the design. This tacks your fabric down. You will notice now how your fabric is already quilted. Each block uses appliqué. Each appliqué has three steps. The first step is a placement stitch that shows you where to place your fabric. The second stitched the fabric in place. After the fabric is stitched in place trim it as close as you can. The third step is the blanket stitch. Some of the designs have more than 1 appliqué. 3
