CUT TWO: Main Floral Purple fabric: Six 6" wide crosswise strips for the borders following the repeat of the fabric. Begin cutting 1/2" above the large rose. Cut 3/4" from the lower edge of each strip so the borders are 5 1 4" wide. Striped Multi fabric: Six 2" wide crosswise strips for the inner borders. Dot Peach fabric: Six 2 3 4" wide crosswise strips for the binding. To cut the triangles for the center of the quilt: Cut 5 7 8" wide crosswise strips with the fabric folded in half. Cut 5 7 8"x5 7 8" squares from the strips. Cut each square in half diagonally to make triangles. Cut the following number of squares to get the indicated number of triangles if you want to arrange the triangles following the photo. Use the color code to see where triangles from each fabric fit into the quilt in later graphics. ASSEMBLY: 1. Arrange the triangles on the work surface or design wall as shown in the photo or use a personal layout.

Make small squares of masking tape or use stickers to label the triangles.

There are eight vertical rows of 11 squares each. 2. Make small squares of masking tape or use stickers to label the triangles. Mark the labels 1R, 1L, 2R, 2L until both right and left labels are completed for all 11 squares. Attach the labels to the triangles in the first row. 3. Remove the triangles and take them to the sewing area. Matching the numbers, stitch the triangles together in pairs along the diagonal edge to make a square. (Step 2 diagram) 4. Arrange the squares in numerical order. Stitch the squares together to make row 1. Press the seam allowances toward the bottom of the row (Step 2 diagram)

3 5. Move the labels to the triangles in row 2. Repeat steps 2 and 3 pressing the seam allowances toward the top of the row. 7. Stitch the rows together matching seams. 6. Continue until all eight rows have been joined. Press the seam allowance in the even numbered rows toward the top and the odd rows toward the bottom.

9. To make each side inner border, stitch two striped strips together matching the stripe pattern.

Cut the joined inner border strips to this length. Trim ends diagonally. 10.

12. For the side borders, lay one border strip on top of the second, overlapping them so the pattern aligns. Mark the end of the top piece on the bottom piece using a water-soluble marker.
