ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES Quilt batting, 76" x 90" Clear template plastic, 10½ x 20½ Basic sewing, pressing, and rotary-cutting supplies CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS WOF = Width of fabric (from selvage to selvage) Cut and subcut in order as given as several subcuts are from the remains of previously cut Fabric A [26298 H] (panel print) Centering the 10½ x 20½ clear template plastic rectangle over the panel motifs, fussy cut a total of three 10½ x 20½ rectangles. Note: Seam allowance is included in the template plastic measurement. Fabric B [26299 H] (green floral) Inner Border #6 Cut (4) 3 x WOF Sew strips together (end to end) with 45 seams. Subcut (2) 3 x 24½ Subcut (2) 3 x 47½ Fabric C [26299 R] (red floral) Cut (2) 1½ x WOF Subcut (6) 1½ x 10½ rectangles. Binding Cut (8) 2½ x WOF SEWING INSTRUCTIONS Use a ¼ seam allowance throughout unless otherwise indicated. Pieced Panel Blocks 1. Referring to Diagram 1, sew one 1½ x 10½ Fabric C (red floral) rectangle to each short side of one 10½ x 20½ Fabric A (panel print) rectangle for Block Center. Block Center should measure 10½ x 22½. Make a total of three Pieced Panel Blocks. Diagram 2 Block D (tan floral) 6. Unit D.

4 2. Referring to Diagram 2, sew one 1½ x 22½ Fabric J (gold tonal) rectangle to each long side of the Block Center. Sew one 1½ x 12½ Fabric J (gold tonal) rectangle to each short side of the Block Center for one Pieced Panel Block. Pieced Panel Block should measure 12½ x 24½. Make a total of three Pieced Panel Blocks. Diagram 2 Block D (tan floral) 6. Unit D. Repeat Block C step 1, using two 2 Fabric I (cream tonal) squares and one 3½ Fabric D (tan floral) square to make one Unit D. Make a total of four Unit D. 7. Block D Row. Repeat Block C step 2, noting orientation of the units, sew two Unit D together for one Block D Row. Make a total of two Block D Rows. Block C (red floral) 3. Unit C. Referring to Diagram 3, draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of one 2 Fabric I (cream tonal) square. With right sides together, align the 2 square in a corner of one 3½ Fabric C (red floral) square. Stitch on the drawn line. Open and press to reveal the right side of the Fabric I (cream tonal) corner triangle. To reduce bulk, trim the hidden Fabric I (cream tonal) triangle underneath to ¼ from the sewn line. Repeat this step with the diagonally opposite corner of the same 3½ Fabric C (red floral) square for Unit C. Unit C should measure 3½ square. Make a total of four Unit C. Diagram 3 4. Block C Row. Referring to Diagram 4, noting orientation of the units, sew two Unit C together for one Block C Row. Row should measure 3½ x 6½. Make a total of two Block C Rows. Diagram 4 8. Assemble Block D. Repeat Block C step 3, noting orientation of the rows, sew two Block D Rows together for one Block D. Make a total of six Block D. Block E (green heart) 9. Unit E. Repeat Block C step 1, using two 2 Fabric I (cream tonal) squares and one 3½ Fabric E (green heart) square to make one Unit E. Make a total of four Unit E. 10. Block E Row. Repeat Block C step 2, noting orientation of the units, sew two Unit E together for one Block E Row. Make a total of two Block E Rows. 11. Assemble Block E. Repeat Block C step 3, noting orientation of the rows, sew two Block E Rows together for one Block E. Make a total of six Block E. Block H (gold dot) 5. Assemble Block C. Referring to Diagram 5, noting orientation of the rows, sew two Block C Rows together for one Block C. Block C should measure 6½ square. Make a total of six Block C. Diagram Unit H. Repeat Block C step 1, using two 2 Fabric I (cream tonal) squares and one 3½ Fabric H (gold dot) square to make one Unit H. Make a total of four Unit H. 13. Block H Row. Repeat Block C step 2, noting orientation of the units, sew two Unit H together for one Block H Row. Make a total of two Block H Rows. 14. Assemble Block H. Repeat Block C step 3, noting orientation of the rows, sew two Block H Rows together for one Block H. Make a total of six Block H. Pg 4

Assemble Quilt Top Refer to the Quilt Layout Diagram for the following steps. 15. Quilt Center. Noting orientation of the blocks, sew three Pieced Panel Blocks together for the Quilt Center.

Quilt Center should measure 12½ x 72½. 16. Inner Border #1. Sew one 2½ x 72½ Fabric I Quilt Center should measure 16½ x 72½. 17. Inner Border #2. Sew four blocks together in the following order: Block E (green heart), Block D (tan floral), Block H (gold dot), Block C (red floral) for one Block Unit. Block Unit should measure 6½ x 24½. Make a total of six Block Units. Noting orientation of the units, sew three Block Units together for one Inner Border #2. Inner Border #2 should measure 6½ x 72½. Make a total of two Inner Border #2. Noting orientation of each border, sew one Inner Border #2 to each long side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 28½ x 72½. FINISHING 1. If backing is not already prepared, sew two 90 x WOF Fabric F (gold heart) strips together along the selvage edges with a 1 seam. Trim seam to ½ and press to one side. Trim backing to measure 76 x Place the quilt top right side up on the top of the batting and the wrong side of the backing. 3. Baste the layers together and quilt as desired. Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top. 4. Sew the eight 2½ x WOF Fabric J (gold tonal) strips together (end to end) using 45 seams to make a continuous strip. Fold strip in half lengthwise (with wrong sides together) and press. Bind as desired. Quilt Layout Diagram 18. Inner Border #3. Sew one 2½ x 72½ Fabric I Quilt Center should measure 32½ x 72½. 19. Inner Border #4. Sew one 3½ x 72½ Fabric G (green bird) strip to each long side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 38½ x 72½. 20. Inner Border #5. Sew one 4½ x 72½ Fabric F (gold heart) strip to each long side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 46½ x 72½. 21. Inner Border #6. Sew one 6½ x 72½ Fabric B (green floral) strip to each long side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Center should measure 58½ x 72½. 22. Outer Border. Sew one 5 x 72½ Fabric I Sew one 5 x 67½ Fabric I (cream tonal) strip to each short side of the Quilt Center. Quilt Top should measure 67½ x 81½.
