Cut Finished size: 20"x72" From fabric A, cut twelve 8" squares. From fabric B and the batting, cut one 24"x75" rectangle each. Designate the fabric-b rectangle as the backing rectangle.

From the remaining fabrics, cut the necessary pieces for each row according to the Table Runner Diagram on page 39. Don t cut the A rectangles.

Place Apply spray adhesive to smaller appliqué fabric pieces on a press cloth to prevent sticky build-up on the workspace. the hoop onto the machine. Embroider the design outline (A).

3 Cut Finished size: 20"x72" From fabric A, cut twelve 8" squares. From fabric B and the batting, cut one 24"x75" rectangle each. Designate the fabric-b rectangle as the backing rectangle. From fabric D, cut five strips measuring 2 2"x the fabric width for the binding. Piece together the strip short ends to form one long strip. From the remaining fabrics, cut the necessary pieces for each row according to the Table Runner Diagram on page 39. Don t cut the A rectangles. For easier construction, cut the fabrics in order by row, beginning with row. Group and set aside the pieces for each row. Thread the needle with embroidery thread and the bobbin with bobbin thread. Hoop one white square with a piece of tear-away stabilizer. Once the outline stitches are complete, cut a fabric scrap larger than the design outline. Center the fabric over the outline, using temporary spray adhesive to secure. Embroider the tacking stitches (B). Once the embroidery is complete, remove the hoop from the machine and carefully trim the excess fabric beyond the stitches. Place the hoop back onto the machine and embroider the remaining design, repeating the appliqué process for the remaining appliqué elements as necessary. Repeat to embroider designs 2 through 2. Note: Design doesn t have appliqué elements. Using the Table Runner Diagram on page 39 as a guide, cut each embroidered square to the designated measurements, centering the design within each rectangle. Construct Sew with right sides together and use 4" seam allowances when constructing each row and 2" seam allowance when joining rows. Using the Table Runner Diagram as a guide, stitch one long edge of each D rectangle to one design- rectangle long edge. Press the seams toward the D rectangles. Stitch one large F- rectangle long edge to the free D-rectangle right edge. Press the seam toward the darker fabric. Stitch one short F-rectangle long edge to the design-2 rectangle lower edge. Press the seam toward the F rectangle. Stitch one remaining F-rectangle long edge to the A/F-rectangle right edge. Press the seam toward the F rectangle. A Embroider outline. B Embroider tacking stitches. C Stitch rectangles to create center panel. Stitch the large F-rectangle right edge to the A/F-rectangle left edge to create the row- center panel (C). Press the seam toward the F rectangle. Stitch one long edge of each C rectangle to the centerpanel upper and lower edges. Press the seams toward the C rectangles. Repeat to stitch rows 2-7, following the Table Runner Diagram and pressing the seams away from the embroidered rectangles or toward the darker fabric. Stitch the row- lower edge to the row-2 upper edge. Press the seam toward one side. Place the batting rectangle over the backing rectangle and the front panel right side up over the batting rectangle; pin. Quilt the table runner in any desired method. Note: The featured table runner is quilted by stitching 3 8" from each front-panel row upper and lower edge except for the row- upper edge and the row-7 lower edge (D). If necessary, trim the table runner edges so they align. Finish Cut one binding strip end at a 45 angle. Fold the angled end 2" toward the wrong side; press, and then stitch using a 4" seam allowance. Fold the strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together; press. Position the binding cut end along the center of one front-panel edge, aligning the raw edges. Begin stitching 2" from the end using a 4" seam allowance. To create a mitered corner, end the stitching 2" from the corners backstitching at the end. Fold the binding up at a 45 angle, and then back down on itself, aligning the binding long edge with the adjacent edge (E). Continue stitching the binding to the remaining front-panel edges, mitering the corners as you sew. Lap the binding end over the binding beginning; stitch. Turn the binding fold toward the table runner back; slipstitch the fold in place.
