1 Northern Comfort Vol. 37 No. 12 Cabin Fever Quilters Guild President s Letter Now that we have safely tucked away our spiders, witches, ghosts, & goblins it is time to give thanks. Thanks, for all that we have, our many friends, our families, and our wonderful (quilting families). As we move into December and busily begin to decorate our homes, it is time to complete our last minute gifts and of course baking those delicious treats our families enjoy. Don t forget to add the ornament exchange and block drawing to your list. It s always such fun to join in with the merriment of the group. Hope to see some of those gifts in show and tell before they disappear as Christmas presents. 6 Christmas Ornament Exchange! Oh, Christmas Tree! Oh, Christmas Tree! How lovely are thy branches...especially with a new ornament you selected at the annual Christmas Ornament Exchange! At the December 15th meeting, bring a homemade ornament and go home with another special for your tree. Any medium is welcome: fabric, yarn, beads, glass, felt, wood - only your imagination limits the possibilities. Make an old favorite design or be daring and try something new. Last year's choices were all unique and treasured by their new owners. Flex your creative Christmas muscles and create an ornament (or bribe someone to do it for you). We all look forward to seeing what everyone makes this year! Jill Hospitality Beverages : Mary Olson Veggies/fruit: Elaine Thompson McGee Appetizers / Dips: 1. Dambra Callahan 2. Lona Boyarsky 3.
