1 ======== P.O. Box 261, Los Alamos, NM June, Officers President: Linda Kolar Vice Presidents: LOS ALAMOS PIECEMAKERS United Church of Los Alamos Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. Secretary: Joan Williams Treasurer: Donna Smith, Chairs Community Service: Flo Carr, Library: Deb McLin, Membership: Brenda Edeskuty Newsletter: Clara Vigil, Publicity: Charlene McHale, Webmaster: Deborah Kubicek, Donation Quilt Michelle DeBardeleben, President's Message: June is here and with it comes the official start of summer and hopefully the beginning of the monsoon season for New Mexico. There is nothing better than quilting when the rain is falling on the roof and the freshness is in the air. I am eagerly awaiting monsoons. We had a very nice turn out for the May sew-a-thon. We had four ladies sewing and several pinning and pressing the pieces. I think all had finished their quilt tops by the end of the night, if not they were very close. Hopefully we will see some finished quilts at the June meeting. Speaking of, the June meeting will feature Marta and David from Recycle Weave who will discuss some of their adventures in recycled weaving. Looking forward to this new experience. We have about 8-9 ladies who say they would be interested in participating in the fall quilt market, so we will need to make some final decision this month. Hope to see every on the 26th. Remember we do not meet in July. Yours in quilting Linda
