Newsletter ppknewsletter@yahoo.com Got a story, joke, picture, news tidbit, info on a show you know of? Send it in! Well, has anyone noticed that the days are getting shorter? Where has most of the summer gone! And of course we all know that fall is right around the corner. Now I know that we have several holidays before Christmas, however, it is never too late to start those Christmas projects! The fabric stores (and other stores) are already displaying Christmas décor! Yikes! Speaking of projects, I am so proud of you, our members, who have risen to the call to make receiving blankets for the hospital. I know that we have met our quota for the rest of 2016! But don't let that stop you, if this project is to your liking, consider making more blankets. And, with the scraps, you can always make burp cloths (the pattern should be on our website). I'm excited about our next Guild meeting presentation from the folks at Loc Bloc rulers. See you then! ~~President, Mary Jo Williamson Parker, CO Page 1

3 PPK Retreat 2017 Final payments are due at the August 23rd meeting. If you are not planning to be at the August meeting, please contact Andrea Loschen at to arrange for payment. Quilt Store News Both of the quilt stores, in Grand Lake and Granby are under new ownership. Granby has extended her hours and really brightened up the store with lots of new fabrics and other quilting supplies. Grand lake is planning on putting together a retreat or two next year. Gentle Reminder Please keep track of the hours you spend on charity projects, we want to show the hours we put into charity at the end of the year, and we can t do it without your diligent effort to turn-in a Charity Project Tallie Sheet each time you complete a project. The last page of this newsletter has some cut-away Tally forms you can use to turn in our time spent on charity quilts. Challenge Review September Mtg I hope everyone who signed up is finishing your great Log Cabin Challenges for this year s reveal, set for our September meeting on September 27 th.
