1 Bernina Sewing Machine Station July/Aug/September 2010 Class Smart Piecing Lecture/Demo/Trunk Show With Kaye England Serge-A-Thon July 24 1:00 pm Fee: Free Come see what a serger can do and how you can use it in your sewing. We will start with a variety of quick demonstrations and follow with you making a pillowcase for charity. We will provide the fabric, sergers, and the instructions. Call to register so that we have enough pillowcases ready to serge: Saturday, AUGUST 21, 2010 Fee: $20 12:00: Meet & Greet with Kaye 1:00-3:00 : Presentation Learn how to use your sewing tools to your best advantage! Kaye will demonstrate specialty rulers and ways to use your sewing machine that will not only improve your piecing but will amaze and delight you as well and you ll see lots of quilts. Kaye s downhome style and wit along with her vast knowledge of quilting and sewing will entertain and educate you during this lecture/demonstration. 3rd Annual Christmas in July Party Saturday, July 31, am - 2 pm Fee: $10 Join us to be inspired for the upcoming Christmas gift-giving season. Chris, Linda, Kate, Anita, and Cathy are busy gathering ideas to share with you on this fun day. We will have gift ideas, demonstrations, a make-it & take it gift project, food, and door prizes. Call and register today: Kaye began quilt making and fabric collecting in earnest in the early 1980 s, but was influenced early on by a family of needle workers. She now designs fabrics for Wilmington Prints and heads her own publishing company, Kaye England Publications. Kaye travels the world conducting sold-out lectures and workshops showcasing her wonderful fabrics, patterns and quilts, as well as her unique and honest outlook on life. Kaye has been described as a colorful individual generating enthusiasm and excitement in her work and having great fun in the process. Despite a hectic teaching schedule, Kaye always finds time to quilt. Born and raised on a farm in Glasgow, Kentucky, She now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana. Learn step by step how to design and stitch an endless embroidery design as you create this lovely pillowcase. Monday, August Artista Embroidery Quick Start Cathy Learn the ins and outs of the embroidery process on your machine as well as some embroidery basics. Make a small embroidered pillow as your first successful embroidery project! Kit fee.
