1 CONFERENCE 2014 EDUCATION ~ INSPIRATION ~ FUN ~ FRIENDSHIP CLASS INFORMATION EXPO WILL BE HELD ON BOTH WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH CLASSES HELD SIMULTANEOUSLY Wednesday June 18: You may choose one class for the morning and one for the afternoon if you wish. Morning: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Afternoon: 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm Thursday June 19: No times specified your class time will be assigned. Morning: 9:30 am to 11:30 am Early Afternoon: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Late Afternoon: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Please register online AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Please call Carol at or carol@projectlinus.org with any questions Please register for your classes as well as submit your payment through our online store: Extra kits may be available for purchase if you don t have time to take all of the classes you are interested in. Space is limited - classes may fill quickly. Remember, everything you need is included. Fees pay for all materials, patterns, teacher expenses, and room charges, etc. Everything is provided including sewing machines, thread, notions, and tools. Please note: classes are subject to cancellation if registration is too low. If this happens, you will be contacted so that you can make another choice.

2 WEDNESDAY CLASSES Morning 9:30 am to 12:30 pm You may choose one morning and one afternoon class. ~OR~ Happy Camper by Julie Persinger Linda Kirby, Becky Smith Deb Kramer, Julie Persinger Cut it, glue it, sew it! That will be our motto in The Happy Camper class. We will be learning an alternative, simplified method of appliqué, which will utilize a glue stick instead of fusible interfacing. Each component in the camper scene features a raw edge, while the background and borders are sewn together with traditional piecing methods. The Happy Camper class is a great jump-start to thinking outside the box in your quilt designs. If you have ever felt intimidated by appliqué or putting your own twist on a design, this class is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet. Double Rick Rack Suzanne Bruns A quick and easy quilt that features the oh so popular chevron look. A perfectly simple quilt for any Project Linus volunteer. Finished quilt measures 45 x 57 - our quilt will be made in blues, reds and cream colored fabrics.

3 WEDNESDAY CLASSES Afternoon 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm You may choose one morning and one afternoon class. Homecoming Trish Larsen Trish originally made this quilt for a special homecoming and we feel the Homecoming name is a perfect tribute. An easy to sew quilt with 2 1/2 strips and a little bit of fusible appliqué and you ll have a precious and cheerful quilt. Finished dimensions are approximately 48 x 64. ~OR~ Irene s Vexation by Kim Brackett Linda Kirby, Becky Smith Deb Kramer, Julie Persinger Don t be deceived by the name of this quilt, it s actually a delight to make - it looks complicated but like so many quilts when broken down is a snap. This class includes the fabric for the top AND the beautiful book Scrap Basket Beauties, that includes 18 patterns. Cost: $65.00

4 THURSDAY CLASSES 2 hours or less each, class times to be assigned Bali Love Song by Elisa s Backporch Designs Mary Balagna Love Song is a beautiful batik quilt that will be the delight of any girl. She can t help but know this quilt is made from the heart. Easy to piece and quick to assemble. She will love it forever. Camp Peanuts Panel Quilt Designed and taught by Linda Kirby - Becky Smith Deb Kramer - Julie Persinger Put your blanket in your backpack and let s go camping! This is a great way to use a panel or any large print fabric. It is quick and fun and can be made larger with added borders. Girly Tool Belt by Vanilla House Designs Linda Kirby - Becky Smith Deb Kramer - Julie Persinger Have a problem? Where s my tape measure? Where s my scissors and thread? I have an answer! I have my Girly Tool Belt on and - NO PROBLEM! It is as cute as a button! Every Glamour Camper needs one!

5 THURSDAY CLASSES continued 2 hours or less each, class times to be assigned Haywire Cheryl Hughes Don t let the name fool you, you wont go crazy putting this bright and cheery quilt top together. Perfect for using leftover strips and tone on tones, the ending effect is fun and trendy. Beetle Bag Jana Wrigley On the go bag, perfect for camping (and Glamping!), sewing or anything else. Complete with zippered pocket, heavy duty vinyl pocket insert and closure. Adorable! Cost: $40.00
