Specification section (L SF WORK PRTIS) PG 2 INITS TH FOLLOWING: Locations of identified lead containing paints may be found in the Hazardous Material Survey Report (dated ecember 8, 2017) for this project. Where is this report in the contract documents? We hereby request this report be issued in the next addendum if it is not currently in the documents. Review and dvise. Response: Hazardous Materials Survey Report d ecember 8, 2017 and Updated ugust 21, 2018 is included with ocument ttachments for id ddendum #6. 2. The 4 T shown on multiple P-100 drawings refers to 103 for exact and continuing installation. rawing 103 does not show the connections of the 4 T piping nor the 3 piping from the area drain. Please advise. Response: onnection of trench drains to site storm water system from bottom of cellar access ramps at existing buildings has been clarified in civil drawings and booster pumps for access ramps have been added to plumbing drawings and shown in architectural details. rchitectural, Plumbing, and ivil drawings have been updated and were included in ddendum #5 document ttachments. 3. ll Plumbing drawings refer to ivil rawing 163 and 164 for final connections of the storm piping from the area drains. These drawings do not show exact routing and installation details. Please advise. 6 4. When intercepting risers shown on drawing -012, Key Note. Please clarify the location where we transition the number of conduits, if more than one set, to one set. Is it the uilding entrance pull box, or the riser pull box where we turn up to the first floor? Response: Transition near each existing riser as per key note on this detail. 5. The drawings for all the housing projects on this NYH project call for either (1) set of 500 mcm or multiple sets of 500 mcm in a 250a frame breaker. this is not a physical possibility. Please submit an RFI to determine how the engineer wants to accomplish this. for instance, the attached drawing shows multiple 250af/125at breakers with 3 or 4 sets of 500 mcm terminated on them. to accomplish this, we would need to make these breakers 800a or 1200amp frame. Then you are not able to get a 125a trip for that. The other option I would think is that in the gutter spacing of the panels you would need to Polaris tap and step the wire down to the appropriate size for the lugs of that breaker. However, if this is required to be done, these panels won t be physically large enough to accomplish this. we would need to make them much bigger and or provide a 2 nd blank pull section where you can make your terminations. Response: s per special notes 1, 2, & 3 on drawing OG-8-103, provide splice box above equipment (switchboard, distribution board, panel board, etc) and copper detail to reduce oversized feeders. There are same notes in OG-9, OG-10, S8-1, SG-6, and SG lectrical drawing for SG-6, -301 shows Fiber using existing security conduits from SG-4 to SG-3. The run is over 1,100 feet depending on the routing, it is difficult to estimate without considering existing conditions of the conduits and number of manholes in between. re there any drawings that provide more information on the existing security fiber conduit runs? Is it empty and available for us to pull new wires in it? Response: This is a duplicate question as in question set #10 and item#16. This is correct as shown to run fiber from SG-6 to SG-4 and connect to existing LV in SG-4. There is no physical connection between SG-4 to SO in SG-3 due to the length. The system is connected wireless by wireless antenna on roof of SG-3 & SG In the Site 8 drawings, RU- is shown on drawing M-301 with a note referring to schedules for additional info. No information for RU- is shown the mechanical schedule sheets, please advise. Response: See revised drawing M-401 Schedule ddendum #5 dated The above-mentioned civil drawing (-411) shows proposed property line boxes in which service is coming from. Which one of these boxes are we using for the incoming feeders shown on SG-4-010? Response: The Property Line box shown on W. 33 rd street. RFQ ddendum #6 ugust 21, 2018 Page 2 of 13

7 9. SG-4 RWING -411 mentions lectric details shown on drawing has not been included in the bid package. Please provide this drawing for reference? Response: rawing is included with the Surfside Gardens North ivil bid document package as indicated on the cover page list of drawings. It is located between drawings and Lighting Fixture F on -101 and the Lighting Fixture schedule on -012 do not match, please provide the correct fixture spec. Response: This is a duplicate question as in question set #6 and item#1. Lights in corridor is still type F. hanged the exterior light fixture type from F to G. dded model number for light fixture type F. 11. Lighting Fixture on -101 and the Lighting Fixture schedule on -012 do not match, please provide the correct fixture spec. Response: This question is not clear because it does not reference any building and does not indicate what is incorrect. Schedule says fixture is 2 in length and plans shows the fixtures as 2 long. 12. ivil rawing -412 shows a rough conduit run from the existing property manholes to the new buildings. Please provide an approximate length of the 12 sets of feeders from the existing property manholes to the new building since the paths are convoluted on this drawing. Response: 12-5 conduits are approximately 80LF 13. Specification section sec specifies a cased pipe system for the underground omestic Hot water pipe which contradicts specification sec. sec which specifies a conduit system for the underground domestic hot water pipe. Please advise which section applies to the domestic hot water? Response: Specifications for underground domestic piping should be followed in mechanical section Underground Pre-engineered Piping Systems. 14. In the ase id proposal are we to figure that the excavated material will be removed and disposed of as clean material? If so, please define the characterization of clean material. Response: Specification Section Unclassified xcavation arthwork indicates procedures for designation of excavated material and handling. This section was updated in id ddendum #5 to include additional information for petroleum contaminated soil. 15. Specification Section (Unit Prices Page 2) indicates the following for id ITM 24 (isposal of Petroleum-contaminated soil). We cannot find Specification Section Testing, Handling and isposal of ontaminated Soils which is referred to above. Please advise. RFQ ddendum #6 ugust 21, 2018 Page 3 of 13

8 16. If in our proposal we include the cost of excavated material as clean and provide a cost for bid item no 24 (isposal of petroleum-contaminated soil) will the authority only pay the difference in cost between clean material and petroleum contaminated material when the work is performed? Response: Specification Section Unclassified xcavation arthwork was updated in id ddendum #5 as well as the bid form to provide additional instruction and unit cost disposal bid information for petroleum contaminated soil. 17. re there testing requirements for the base bid and unit item number 24? If so, what is the frequency. Response: See Revised specification section _UNLSSIFI VTION RTHWORK issued with id ddendum # rawing -627 (ivil rawings) UTNK TIL- Typical rrangement Note state s Provide 3 minimum of oncrete on oth Sides and top of duct bank. Specification Section (Underground uct and Raceways for lectrical System) Part 3, Paragraph 3.2- H, 1 through 11 implies ackfilling with Select Material. Please larify if uct banks are to be oncrete ncased or otherwise. Response: uct banks shown on -627 are to be concrete encased. 19. rawing -628 (ivil rawings) indicates ommunication Manholes Type,,or. Please larify if these manholes are required for this project. Response: ommunications Manhole locations are indicated in the -410 series drawings in civil documents. 20. Specification section sec Underground Pre-ngineered Piping Systems specifies a cased pipe system for the underground omestic Hot/old water. This specification also specifies using type L copper as the carrier piping. This system includes a asing of plastic, insulation and carrier piping. Specification sec Underground old and Hot Water istribution piping specifies a conduit system for the underground domestic hot water and cold water. This specification also specifies using type K copper as the carrier piping. This system includes a arrier piping, mineral wool, onduit piping Steel, another layer of insulation and an HP outer jacket. Which section applies to the domestic hot and cold water? Unless we hear otherwise, we will use section for the domestic hot & cold water. Response: Specifications for underground domestic piping should be followed in mechanical section Underground Pre-engineered Piping Systems. 21. Please advise if the oilers begin purchased by NYH are being shipped with the burners assembled to the boilers, or as a separate piece needing to be assembled. Response: Please refer to urnham boiler vendor Mr. Rick onstantino of oiler Room Sales for pre-assembles and tested boiler package. 22. RFQ ddendum #6 ugust 21, 2018 Page 4 of 13

9 23. There are no specific quantities shown on the drawings for re-insulation of existing plumbing and mechanical piping. We are using the asbestos abatement drawings to quantify our price unless otherwise informed. Response: ll cold water, hot water, hot water return and storm piping is required to be re-insulated and comply with NY. 24. The hot water underground entering the building should have a 5-elbow swing. lso, we believe that the use of a 5-elbow swing will not work due to the restriction of the containment piping. We assume and are estimating it as a straight run of pipe entering the building. Response: Piping expansion loop and anchor placement will compensate for the anticipated pipe expansion 25. To further our RFI on the concerns of anchoring with piping shown on top of duct banks, the civil drawing shows no provision for piles or supports for the anchors to prevent the settling. If the anchors settle, and sink further down, the piping will go with it. Please advise. Response: Pipe anchors can be moved to clear the location of the duct banks. Site /ivil rawings provide required soil compacting prior to pouring or setting of anchors. 26. Note on the plumbing drawing P on OG-8, OG-9, OG-10, SG-6, and SG-7 under gas piping system testing states radiography shall be performed on all butt welds in gas meter and gas distribution piping. Spec section states all butt welds in gas meter and gas distribution piping operating at pressures exceeding 3 PSIG. Please clarify what needs radiographic testing and who is responsible for paying for the testing of the piping. Response: The note is a general gas note. The requirement for radiographic testing is only required in OG-8 and SG-6 for the gas service and distribution to the boilers. ontractor is to include in his bid the price of testing of OG-8 and SG-6 gas piping for boilers. 27. In the Site 8 drawings, RU- is shown on drawing M-301 with a note referring to schedules for additional info. No information for RU- is shown the mechanical schedule sheets, please advise. Response: See revised drawing M-401 Schedule ddendum #5 dated Please clarify, no information regarding temporary vacuum pumps and condensate return units shown on the HV drawings. Per Phasing and Staging on the M-001 drawings notes,, & steam shall be provided even during non-heating season with a maximum 4 hours shutdown. It will be impossible to accomplish this within 4 hours, providing temporary units will help achieve no disruptive and continuous steam to boilers. Response: ontractor shall provide temporary VPU units of equal capacity, including temporary condensate piping and temporary power as required for the buildings where the new VPU cannot be installed during the non-heating period (pril 15 to October 1). ll other steam heating equipment (i.e. omestic HWH s shall be completed with new RU units, piped completely up and until the final tie in to the new HWH units is ready and can be made in the limited 4 hour shut down period allowed.
