July January thru through September March, 2018 2015 Sewing World of Grapevine & Weatherford To our Sewing World family, This summer is going to be a busy one for our Sewing World Staff.

In August, Stacey and I, will attend Brothers annual Back to Business meeting and training sessions in Orlando. They will be introducing a new Top Of The Line combo sewing & embroidery machine.

Clint will be heading to St. Louis at the end of August to see the new TOL machine and other new products from our friends at Baby Lock.

Between vacations, business and training meetings we will not be able to offer our normal array of classes this quarter. We have scheduled the most beneficial classes for this quarter only. In August, Stacey and I, will attend Brothers annual Back to Business meeting and training sessions in Orlando. They will be introducing a new Top Of The Line combo sewing & embroidery machine. You better get ready to hold on to your hats because Brother is known for blowing us away with the new technology and feature rich TOL models and we expect no less from the next one. Clint will be heading to St. Louis at the end of August to see the new TOL machine and other new products from our friends at Baby Lock. Juki has released many new models which I have highlighted in the newsletter as well. They have introduced an extraordinary and impressive high speed sewing/quilting machine with many features not found on other household machines. We look forward to sharing all the new machines coming out as we kick off our Fall Selling Season with new promotions and products. We wish everyone a Happy Summer. We offer many hours of instruction in a fun-filled class setting with formally trained instructors. Machines today have many new operations to learn. To help make this easier on the top models we have separated the classes into an Embroidery only class and Sewing only class so you may reap the befits of the many features of your new machine. We encourage new machine owners to play with and use their new machines before attending class to get most out of the class session. Individual functions and upgrade classes are offered for many models that may not be covered in-depth in the free class. (Please schedule your class during the first year after purchase due to machine model changes.) Didn t buy your machine from Sewing World of Grapevine or Weatherford? Need help learning how to operate your machine? Special one-on-one classes available by appointment. Let our experienced teachers personally instruct you on your machine so you can get the most out of it. Price: $65.00/Hour Sewing Only.$85.00/Hour Embroidery and/or Sewing You must pre-register for class. First hour s fee is required at time of registration. Class fee will only be refunded if we are notified of your cancellation 48 hours prior to the scheduled class. (If we cancel class, fee will be refunded in full.) Our teachers work on a schedule so please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for set up in order to start on time. Class Policy In consideration of others, please put cell phone on silent mode! You must pre-register for class. A minimum of 1/2 of the fee is required at time of registration. You are not considered registered for the class until you have made payment. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum is not met. Class fee will only be refunded if we are notified of your cancellation 48 hours prior to the scheduled class. (If we cancel class, fee will be refunded in full.) Since our teachers work on a schedule, we ask that you refrain from interrupting other students or the instructor during class time. Part 1 Second Quarter This half day class is designed for new users of Embroidery Works or Embrilliance. Part One will cover Parts of the Screen, the Design Workspace, Moving around the Screen, Customizing the Design Page, Preferences, Thread Inventory, Opening a Single Design, adding a Frame, Sizing, Remove Hidden Stitches and Saving. Students will need to bring: Laptop (either MAC or PC) with software loaded. Laptop will need to have a port for a standard USB stick. A list of 10 of their embroidery threads in their personal inventory (for Part 1). Mouse Part 2 Third Quarter This second part (half day) builds on Part One. This class will focus on changing colors within a design, merging multiple designs to create a new one, changing sewing order, color sorting, adding a frame, and adding lettering. We will further build on your skills as we discuss different ways of adjusting density, merging a portion of one design with another, and adding a basting stitch. Students will need to bring: Laptop (either MAC or PC) with software loaded. Laptop will need to have a port for standard USB stick Mouse Part 3 Fourth Quarter The third part of this series builds on Part One and Part Two. In his class, we will focus on the Utility Menu. Price includes class instructional handout. Did you just recently acquire BES 4 Lettering Software? Are you ready to explore this feature rich software? This full day hands-on class is for you. We will review the Design Workspace, customize the workspace to meet your needs, review the program preferences, review basic and advanced text features (such as design on a path) and explore the newest features contained in this software. Near the end of the day, we will discuss how to use a Scan N Cut 550 or 650 with BES to create beautiful appliqué designs. Students will need to bring a laptop already loaded with BES4 Lettering (there will not be time to load program in class) and an external mouse.

This class is designed to show basic operation and set up for the most commonly used stitches for these 4 thread or 8 thread sergers. This class is offered to customers that have the Babylock Ovation, Evolution, Enlighten, Imagine and Eclipse and the Juki MO1000 or MO2000QVP sergers only. No other models allowed in this class. Class supplies needed: Your serger with 4 or 8 cones of thread, accessories that came with the serger, Quick Reference chart if applicable, instruction book and scissors.
