Supplies: Sanding Block, fine/medium # Tracing Paper Pad #83176 Soft Grip Embossing & Stylus-set of 3 #70125 Spray varnish of your choice (matte preferred) Tack Cloth #70104 Brushes: Papillon by the Artist s Club Script Liner, size 1 #20141 Shader, size 4 #21026; size 10 #20130; size 12 #20131 Preparation: Sand well with the sanding block and wipe with a Tack Cloth. For all ornaments, mark a border about ¼ inch and wash with Spice Brown. One heavy wash should be enough. Paint inside the border with Charcoal. Refer to the color photo Painting Instructions: Star: I painted three different sides to this one and anyway you put it together will work. Numbers: The number ONE is basecoated Apple Green. The number TWO is basecoated Light Foliage Green. The number THREE is basecoated Medium Foliage Green. Apple clock: Basecoat the red part Opaque Red. Basecoat the tan area AC Flesh a couple of coats. Shade Spice Brown. The numbers and hands are Charcoal. The stem is Spice Brown. The leaf is No Page 1 Sandra Malone for Artist's Club.

3 Medium Finishing: Foliage Green, sideloaded in Apple Green. Pencils: Basecoat the green one Medium Foliage Green, highlighted Light Foliage Green. The eraser is Medium Flesh, shaded Dark Flesh. The metal band is a mix of Light Ivory plus a small amount of Charcoal. Shade with Charcoal and highlight Light Ivory. The wood tip of the pencil is AC Flesh, shaded Spice Brown. The lead is Light Ivory plus Charcoal. The red pencil is Opaque Red. I didn t shade or highlight this one. Lunch sack: Basecoat Maple Sugar Tan. Shade Spice Brown. The happy face is lined in Dark Burnt Umber. Chalk designs: All of the chalk designs are lined with Light Ivory. Apples: Basecoat Opaque Red. Shade Barn Red. The stem is Spice Brown. The leaf is Medium Foliage Green sideloaded in Apple Green. Add a Light Ivory highlight dot. Tree: The preparation is the same as for the star ornament. The apples are painted the same, and the chalk designs are Light Ivory. The Star at the top is basecoated Straw, shaded Raw Sienna and highlighted Old Parchment. Snowflake: The preparation is the same Spice Brown edge and Charcoal center. The book is basecoated Dolphin Grey, shaded Nightfall Blue, and highlighted Chambray Blue. The pages are Light Ivory, shaded AC Flesh and then again with Spice Brown. The snowflake is Chambray Blue. The a b c letters are Light Ivory. Report card: Basecoat Light Ivory. Shade Dolphin Grey at the bottom and AC Flesh at the top right. The lettering is Dark Burnt Umber. Follow the apple directions on the star design. Pencils: Basecoat the red pencil with Opaque Red. Shade Barn Red. Add a tad of Dark Burnt Umber if more contrast is needed. The Yellow pencil is Straw, shaded Golden Brown and highlighted Old Parchment. The eraser is Medium Flesh, shaded Dark Flesh. Highlight Light Ivory. The metal band is a mix of Light Ivory plus Charcoal, shaded with just Charcoal and highlighted Light Ivory. The pencil point is AC Flesh, shaded Spice Brown. The vine is Spice Brown. The leaves are Medium Foliage Green sideloaded Apple Green. Angel: The preparation is the same, Spice Brown edge and Charcoal dress. The wings and head are Light Ivory.
