The Locl Rck which is locte ner the console, n contins the P processing engine s well s some /O. The tge Box which is use for ll min nlogue (n igitl where fitte) /O, n will be locte t the stge or point where most signls originte. This ocument outlines the min functionlity of the Locl Rck n tgebox, n shows the full /O connectivity n interconnections of the ouncrft Vi eries console system.

4 Locl Rck The Locl Rck is locte ner the min Console surfce, n links to the surfce re vi simple Ct5 t link cble, plus three uio connections for hephones, left/right n Tlkbck microphone. The Locl Rck houses the Core Live, the P engine tht runs ll the processing for the system. n ition to receiving the 64 (or 48) nputs n returning the 32 (or 27) outputs to the stgebox, the locl rck hs itionl /O. There re 16 nlogue line inputs n 16 nlogue line outputs vilble on the locl rck, plus s stnr 8 pirs of E/EBU inputs n outputs. This mens tht there re in totl 96 potentil input connections, 64 of which my be mixe simultneously. There is lso n opticl M /O cr which provies n itionl 64 chnnels of input n output for pplictions such s hr isk recoring or brocst fees. This cn fee ProTools system if 3r prty interfce is use. Rck hrwre The Locl Rck is house in flight-cse rck, the totl cpcity it occupies is 10U (10 rck units) incluing the fn n filter units (these re not shown bove). The Locl Rck is normlly supplie in flightcse, but cn lso be mounte in n instlltion rck, long with the fn n filter unit.

5 tge Box (option) (option) M H The tge box contins the min nput connections for ll microphones n line level sources, n lso cts s the istribution point for the 32 (or 24) line outputs. nlogue inputs n outputs re ll on XLR-type connectors. tnr connection to the Locl Rck is vi Ct5 or Ct7 cble, using Ethercon connectors. ( brekout pnel converting to mphenol RJF connectors is supplie). The tgebox to Locl Rck link cbles use mphenol RJF connectors, n cn be up to 80m of pprove cble (eutrik Etherflex) or 130m of Ct 7 nstlltion cble (MP etconnect PiMF). secon cble offers reunncy in the event of cble filure. f require, the tgebox cn be supplie with fibre-optic reunnt connection to the Locl Rck. Optionl E/EBU inputs n outputs Ech nlogue input cr contins 8 inputs. This cn be replce by n optionl E/EBU input cr which hols 4 pirs of E/EBU inputs, with built-in mple Rte Convertors. imilrly, ech nlogue output cr contins 8 outputs. This cn be replce by n optionl E/EBU output cr which hols 4 pirs of E/EBU outputs. GPO There re 8 sets of GPO (generl purpose input/output) contct closures, for use with triggering externl equipment or receiving switch commns.
