Sci: Humaniies Series (): Absrac: Elecronic banking in Jordan is sill in early sages, hus i may be hindered by some obsacles and risks. This sudy aims a idenifying and exploring he essence and he naure of elecronic banking services provided by Jordanian commercial banks. Moreover, i aemps o analyze and evaluae he obsacles, meris, risks and elemens for he prosperiy of elecronic banking in Jordan. To achieve he aim of his sudy he researcher execued an empirical sudy (field sudy) direced owards he managers and employees of all commercial banks in Jordan o explore heir ideas regarding elecronic banking in Jordan. The resuls of he sudy were analyzed by he applicaion of he SPSS program o calculae mean, sandard deviaion and -Tes a a significance degree of 5%, and Cronbach s Alpha was used o es he degree of reliance for he quesionnaire. The sudy reached a number of conclusions, he mos imporan of which being ha despie ha elecronic banking enjoys a low degree of risk and a number of meris such as ease, speed and low cos, here are sill a number of obsacles, such as lack of awareness and he absence of legislaions and he high cos of inerne services, which are considered he main facors behind he slow spread of elecronic banking in Jordan. The sudy concluded wih some recommendaions concerning he significance of he commercial banks role in underaking he necessary effors in order o spread he use of elecronic banking among he cliens of commercial banks.
