3 Tecnica Specification Function Measuring Principe Transit Time Difference Principe For te fow measurement of te medium, utrasonic signas are used, empoying te transit time difference principe. Utrasonic signas are emitted y a transducer instaed on one side of a pipe, refected on te opposite side and received y a second transducer. Tese signas are emitted aternativey in fow direction and against it. As te medium in wic te signas propagate is fowing, te transit time of te utrasonic signas in fow direction is sorter tan against te fow direction. Te transit time difference t is measured and aows to determine te average fow veocity on te propagation pat of te utrasonic signas. A fow profie correction is ten performed in order to otain te area average of te fow veocity, wic is proportiona to te voume fow. Te received utrasonic signas wi e cecked for teir usefuness for te measurement and te pausiiity of te measured vaues wi e evauated.
