Early in 1999 when I started looking for a retail-space 2014 seemed so far away. I didn t dare think in terms of 5 years, or 10 years, let alone 15. The time has really flown by and I m looking forward to many more years to come. There have definitely been many changes over the years in both fabric and quilting styles. There have also been many changes within the store, as we embrace the current Modern style. The big news in my life right now includes my book The New Hexagon - 52 Blocks to English Paper Piece due on store shelves October 7 th. I will be going to quilt market for some buying as well as a little book promotion. We ve set aside November 1 st for a book signing and release party. We d love for you to join us. 6 Information Sheets At Katja s we realize that not everyone in the world is as fortunate as we are. In this vein we are raising donations with the sale of what we call information sheets. These contain a simple set of black & white instructions (not an in-depth pattern). The sheets will assist you in making a project from a Jelly Roll, Charm Squares etc. They are available for a nominal donation (minimum $2.00) to a cause of the designers choosing. 7 FALL 2014 Classes Class sizes are limited to ensure you receive the best instruction. We offer high quality teachers & the biggest, brightest classroom around. Full payment is required upon registration, in person or over the phone. If you are unable to attend & give us 7 days notice, we will give you a store credit. Less than 7 days, no credit will be given. In the event we cancel a class you will receive a store credit. Credits can be redeemed for a refund or used against purchases. Crdits expire one year from date of issue. We will give you a supply list when you register and offer you a 15% discount on supplies purchased for one of our classes. Please purchase your supplies prior to the day of the class. We look forward to having you in our class and hope to make it a fun, learning experience for you. Parking is provided for classes, clubs and demos in the large parking area in the center of the lot. You may wish to stop in front of the store first to unload your car, and then move to the general parking lot. Please be respectful of the other businesses and do not occupy the spaces in front of them.
