Want Ads can be ed to SHOP TALK The summer months of June, July, August, and September is the time for local Fairs. It is a great time to show your work. And Fair attendees really enjoy seeing your quilts and other works and crafts. Just stand around and ease drop and hear all the wonderful comments of women, men and even children. Many people love to see their Grandmother s quilts displayed at the local fairs. Just look at the faces of Blue Ribbon winners glowing. It s not about the money. At some Fairs you may only win $3.00, the pride comes with a blue, red, or white ribbon. We have seen the Leeton Fair, Knob Noster Fair, Johnson County Fair, Henry Country Fair, Calhoun Fair, and Missouri State Fair. Fairs to come are the Chilhowee Fair (August 30 September1), Concordia (September 6-8) Holden Fall Festival (September 13-15). There may be more. This year at the Missouri State Fair I noticed several quilts displayed by Marie and Toni. There were some ribbons on several of them too! Congratulations! If you would like to enter in the Chilhowee Fair this weekend I have all the information. Diane 5
