3 Broderie Perse 1. Using Odif 606, spray selected shapes on W/S of fabric. If preferred shapes can be cut out then sprayed afterwards - cover spray area with paper to avoid getting glue on any other item. 2. Place shapes on background fabric. Press in place. Centre design by pressing background fabric diagonally and side to side - align design with the creases. 3. Thread machine top and bottom with same colour thread. Set stitch width approx. 3-5 mm, stitch length mm. Width and length will vary slightly according to each make and model of machine. Use a fine needle (60/70 9/10). Attach applique/satin stitch foot. 4. Start work at flowers lying at the back. Work forward until all raw edges are covered.

Celtic Design 1. Cut one 12 square thin tracing paper. Fold into eighths.

2. Trace the shape to form complete design.

Cut one 14½ square Cream fabric. Transfer design to R/S of material.

Trace lines on to fabric. This is an inexpensive way to make homemade light box.) 4. Cut fabric shapes to fit the enclosed spaces.

4 Celtic Design 1. Cut one 12 square thin tracing paper. Fold into eighths. Draw curved design from one side of the triangle to the other - look at the photo carefully. Keep drawn shape simple and softly curved. 2. Trace the shape to form complete design. The shape can be traced by folding and refolding the paper and copying the lines from section to section. 3. Cut one 14½ square Cream fabric. Transfer design to R/S of material. (Stick paper pattern on a clear glass surface/window with light underneath or in daylight. Place fabric on top of paper pattern. Trace lines on to fabric. This is an inexpensive way to make homemade light box.) 4. Cut fabric shapes to fit the enclosed spaces. Either make templates from the initial paper pattern or cut the tracing paper and use these shapes to make templates. 5. Tack or fuse the fabric shapes in place. 6. Pin the beginning of the fusible bias tape where shown in the picture. This raw end gets covered as the design progresses. 7. Follow the design round pressing the bias strip in place as you work. The bias tape goes over and under - if you have to stop for some reason - cut end of strip off to match the drawn line at an under junction. Press raw ends so that butt together. The pictures show the bias tape being tacked in place - this is not required because of the adhesive on the back of the fusible tape.

Dresden Plate Border (Seam Allowance ¼ ) 1.

Using Dresden Plate template cut 3½ strips.

Make up twelve quarter circle Dresden Plates. 3.

6 Dresden Plate Border (Seam Allowance ¼ ) 1. Cut 13½ square, add 1½ border to make a 15½ square (raw edge to raw edge). 2. Using Dresden Plate template cut 3½ strips. Place 4 line on one side of fabric strip, cut sixty Dresden Plate sections. Make up twelve quarter circle Dresden Plates. 3. Complete four Plates with quarter circle - use 6 line on Circle Cut. 4. Sew two quarter Dresden plate sections to make a semi circle, complete with half circle - use 6 line on Circle Cut. 5. Cut 8¾ squares - cut into four quarter square triangles. Join one quarter square triangle to either side of Plate. Make three more. 6. Attach these to each side of central panel. 7. Complete border with semi circle sections. Add one section. 8.
