1 March 18, 2003 Le Mars, Iowa The Plymouth County Board of Supervisors met in adjourned session on March 18, All members were present. All votes following are aye unless otherwise indicated. Minutes of the March 11, 2003 meeting were read and approved. Motion by Vander Hamm, seconded by Philips to sign a renewal for the victim program. Motion by Greene, to rescind the motion made on February 27 th, 2003 concerning school system LOST dollars & replace with the following motion: with the review of the County Attorney $70,000 of LOST money be give to the school system of Plymouth County each year for a period of 10 years with the money to be distributed on a per pupil basis. NO funds will be available until after June 4, There will be a public notice when rules & applications will be made available. Motion died for lack of a second. CPC Sharon Nieman asked the Board to decide on mental health budgets - grants to Plains Area. Sharon will get back with the Board following a meeting on PCS jail project coordinator Fred Hutchins informed the Board that Gary Tucker & Mike Van Otterloo have not reviewed claims for the jail project. Motion by Philips, seconded by Greene, to approve all claims for payment regarding the jail/lec. County Attorney Darin Raymond told the Board that unless Fred Hutchins is on the agenda, he may not speak to the Board or ask for action. Motion by Vander Hamm, seconded by Greene to approve the costs for the R-U special election of March 4, 2003 for $1, & bill the school for the expenses. Mr. Wiltgen wants to be paid for these 2 amounts: December 2002 #9 $188, and January 2003 #10 $386, He has completed the work and feels he should be paid for work completed. He has had to pay sub-contractors and borrow money to do so. Rich Philips asked PCS to get something done about this immediately.
