Hope you have done the same so your brushes won't get stiff. A reminder of the August 26th meeting where Mary Ann Turner will teach the Gone Fishing box. If you have not signed up we can send you the instructions via e mail. I am sure you have something to put it on. We have teaching a Veggie Pumpkin October 7th. Stef Roy will teach the Rose Mary West Box and Table November 4th and 5th. TEACHERS, if you would like to send the board pictures of several things you might like to teach it would be very helpful to us. Hope you can make the August meeting. I have had several members say that we need to keep the chapter going. I agree. Signup: gjsullivan@atmc.net home Supplies: Jo Sonja Paint List: Aqua, Brown Earth, Carbon Black, Galaxy Blue, Gold Oxide, Green Oxide, Napthol Crismson, Nimbus Grey, Pine Green, Provincial Beige, Raw Sienna, Sapphire, Skin Tone Base, Smoked Pearl, Storm Blue, Unbleached Tit., Warm White, Yellow Oxide Mediums: Clear Glaze Medium, Retarder Medium Bring your regular acrylic supplies. Don't forget your lunch and your beverages. Prep: Paint your entire project with Sapphire Blue + Storm Blue + J.S. Sealer 1:1:1. Sand. Paint 2 coat of Sapphire Blue + Storm Blue + Clear Glaze Medium 1:1:1. When dry, apply coat of Clear Glaze Medium and allow to sit overnight, if possible. Apply pattern, using light or white transfer paper. YOU'LL GET MORE PREP IN- STRUCTIONS WHEN YOU SIGN UP AND GET THE PATTERN.

Bring your regular acrylic supplies. Don't forget your lunch and your beverages. Seal pumpkin with wood sealer. Paint stem with Burnt Umber, shade with Soft Black, highlight with Khaki Tan, Golden Straw. Paint pumpkin to about half way down with an orange of your choice, or really any color you want. Trace on pattern (cut pattern to make it easier to trace.) Use Khaki Tan to base coat all the veggies, use Moon Yellow on any red veggies. BASE COAT VEGGIES INDIVIDUALLY: Raddish => white Peas, stringbeans, zuccini, cucumber,egglant stem, scallion tops, greeen bell pepper => Avacado Potato, butternut squash, scallion bottoms => Khaki Tan Eggplant => Black Plum Tomatoes, red onion => Napa Red (over original base of Moon Yellow) Carrots => Orange Canyon (over original base of Moon Yellow) Yellow bell pepper => Moon Yellow... Stem => Hauser Lt Green Small green peppers => Hauser Dark Green Corn => Moon Yellow... Husk => Hauser Lt Green Carrot tops and Corn Husk ARE DONE LAST

The finished piece really is impressive in person. Brushes: Sherry Nelson has a great set of brushes she uses and sells on her website, but I recommend only spending the money if you think you will be doing more oil paintings. For this class you can get away with a couple of brite (short haired flats) brushes, (size 4 & 6), also bring a liner Bring what you have. Color palette will be displayed at a later date.
