Then reboard tips and techniques to help photographers elevate the quality or their scenic and landscape images. Steve will share his examples through his years of travel photography which took him into locations such as Monument Valley, The San Juan Mountains and The Outer Banks and Sonoma County, California. When you have finished get back on the "Red" line train and go back to your car. Sunset is at 8:35pm on June 15th. The best stops after dark will be West End, Pearl Street and City Place above ground. It is highly recommended that you travel in groups of three or more, and take water. The Park Lane station is at the northwest corner of Park and Greenville. All-day passes can be purchased at ticket machines located at the stations, cash or credit. The cost is $5.00; $2.50 for seniors. The nine recommended stops along the "Red" line are: Park Lane, Lovers Lane, Mockingbird, City Place / Uptown, Pearl St., St. Paul, West End, Union Station and the Dallas Zoo. The stations have electronic signboards displaying when a train arrives, usually about every 20 minutes. More information is available at Gary Kelly Roxy Watts It is sad to report that a long time member, Roxy Watts, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. In the past couple years we have noticed her steadfast positive attitude and determination. Even when she did not feel well she came to the Dallas Camera Club with her husband Howard. Roxy never complained about her condition but had an encouraging word for everyone whenever she spoke. She will be missed. Photography is not allowed below ground at City Place or of the tunnel at Mockingbird station. Photographs by Gary Kelly and Ray Salinas All Aboard>>> Page 2 THRU THE LENS June 2013

4 4 CHRONICLE OF A CREATIVE LIFE When art and awareness are the gravitational force of attention and a camera is bearing witness expect enchantment and oddities to arise in equal proportion. Diana Souza offers us a glimpse of an artist s life seen from behind the camera lens. Her repertoire as a visual communicator has revolved around a lifelong career in graphic design and illustration using a camera as one of her primary creative tools to capture the passing scene.
