2 Class Policies: Sign ups will begin on June 4, 2016 at 10 am You may only sign up two people for each class/event (i.e. yourself & a friend) Class fee must be paid at time of registration. Telephone registrations will be held for one week. Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation. Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting oops and you need more fabric!) 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO RE- FUNDS. If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time. If you like a class, but cannot make the time it is scheduled, please call to put your name on a waiting list specifying different date. Christmas in July cont. 3 Class Sign-ups begin June 4 at 10 am...class Sign-ups begin June 4 at 10 am Beginning Quilting -This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of quilting while creating 3 wonderful projects. Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and achieving a 1/4 inch seam. Beginning Quilting will prepare you for nearly all classes presented at Quilts and Treasures, Inc. We ll be happy to help you choose your fabrics. Class discount on all class supplies. Mondays 6:30-8:30pm with Mindy $65.00 June 20, 27, July11, 18, 18, 25, Aug 1, 8 Beyond Beginning Quilting If you ve recently completed Beginning Quilting and aren t quite sure where to go next, this class is for you! Easier quilt patterns with a bit of instruction and lots of confidence building! Choose from Party Mix, Yellow Brick Road, Irish Chain, or Just Can t Cut It. The size is up to you from crib to king. Wednesdays July 13, 20, 27, Aug 3, 10, pm with Mindy $50.00 Beginning Machine Quilting This introductory class in Machine Quilting will teach you how to use your sewing machine to achieve beautiful results as an alternative to tying your quilts. The class will cover cross-hatching, echoing, stippling, and other free motion techniques. Walking foot and darning (stippling) foot for your machine required. Quarter inch foot is helpful. If you need help, please let us know. Wednesdays August 17 & 24 6:30-8:30pm with Valerie $25.00 Six Months of Jo Join us each month as we make a pattern each time from Jo Morton s new book Jo s Little Favorites. Each month instruction will be given for the block and you ll have a chance to make a block. Hints and tips will be given for block construction, sashings, borders, etc. You ll then have all the information to complete the little quilt on your own! Book purchase required. This month s quilt features a very traditional little quilt in reds, browns, and creams. The fabric is from the Songbird Gatherings collections by Primitive Gatherings. Saturday, July with Cyndy $25.00 Harvest Moon This paper-pieced moon allows you to play with your colors and shading. The wallhanging finishes 24 square and uses foundation papers and template plastic both included in the pattern! Paper piecing experience helpful but not required. Saturday, August with Alison Skar $25.00 Duffle Bag In this project we will be making the large sized zippered duffle bag. The book shows three sizes and two different styles of this bag. Once you have mastered the first one, you will want to make the other sizes to complete your travel collection. The bag is great for advanced beginners and a great way to showcase beautiful fabrics. Trunk Show & Speaker Auntie s Two Carol McLeod from Aunties Two will be giving a trunk show on Friday evening, July 15 at 7:00 pm. Carol wrote: I'll demonstrate our popular Christmas Tree adorned with tiny lights magically attached! I'll show you how to use that same technique to light our Cat's Eye Bag or Tupelo Tag Along. Surprise everyone at all your Christmas events with lighted bags. Decorate your table with easy to make reversible Double Dip placemats. And for a unique easy-to-make Christmas gift, I'll demonstrate how to make our new Sleigh pattern. Great for candy, cards, or use it as a centerpiece. How about a Christmas Cat Bed???
