Choose your block centers from a great fabric, fussy cut a print or embroider the blocks in the first week of class. Make pin wheel blocks and star blocks then finish your quilt with borders which will make your quilt ready to be quilted. Our sample is in Christmas colors but any combination with good contrast will make up beautifully. This is an open group that join Jerri at 6:00 PM to enhance their quilting skills. The group chooses their next project. Their first project of the New Year will be Irish Chain. This is a classic quilt but the chain blocks make any color combination pop! Join our Quilting Club and have fun! IRISH CHAIN QUILT Get ready for lots of rotary cutting and strip piecing to make this quilt. Decide on a single or double chain. Jerri will help! Fee $49. The fabrics are just gorgeous and will make a stunning quilt. You will be fussy cutting the panel and the piecing is easy. The quilt finishes at 78 x 87. Another border will make it fit your bed; it goes together so quick you can have it finished in March. Fee $49. Fri., Feb. 3, 10, 17 1:00-3:30 BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING Machine quilting is the process of stitching your quilt top to batting and backing. We will start by layering your quilt; a printed practice quilt. Stitch straight line quilting with a dual feed (walking foot). Then learn Free Motion with lots of techniques: stippling, echo quilting, continuous line designs and more. Machine quilting can be done on any sewing machine. Class includes a Lunch Break.
