Oct (bring lunch or a snack) MyBERNINA Artista & 8 Series Embroidery 101 Learn the basics of your BERNINA embroidery machine: stabilizers, hooping, stitching a design, lettering, and combinations. Mon. Nov. 7 & MyBERNINA Aurora Embroidery 101 Learn the basics of your BERNINA Aurora embroidery machine: stabilizers, hooping, stitching a design, lettering, and combinations. Bring laptop with software installed, Aurora machine & embroidery module. Fri. Nov. 18 Serger Basics Learn the basics: threading, tension, 3 thread, 4 thread, rolled hem, flatlocking. Workbook Class. Two Classes. Mon. Oct. 10 & 17 Serger Quick Start Get comfortable using your serger in this 3-hour class. At the end of class, you ll have a zippered pouch perfect for storing your serger accessories. Kit Fee. Mon, Oct Serge Ahead Class #1: This advanced serger workbook class shows you the uses for the serger feet available for your machine. Serger Basics pre-requisite. Monday, November Serge Ahead Class #2: This advanced serger workbook class teaches the 1300 Model owners how to set up for coverstitch and chainstitch serging. Serger Basics pre-requisite. Monday, November Machine TLC with Patrick This lecture will cover basic sewing machine cleaning and tension adjustments. Machines will be provided. Limited seating. BERNINA machines Sat. Tues., Oct. 4 $20 Monogram Mania Kate Learn all about many different ways to create monograms for yourself or for the perfect gift. You will learn to use the lettering in your machine to make very creative monograms. We will monogram a towel to get you started! Tues., Oct. 11 $20 Embroidery On Socks Kate With this great little gadget, you can have lots of fun decorating socks for young and old alike. Make them for yourself or as very unique gifts! Thurs. Oct. 13 $20 A Little Somethin Jacket Cathy It s nice to have a little somethin jacket to put on when the weather starts getting chilly. This light weight jacket is fast and fun and has two lengths. Use your serger for construction or your sewing machine. Fri., Oct. 14 $30 Chubby Charmer II Linda Use one of the most popular bag patterns and learn ways to change the appearance of the bag. This is the class for you. We will download designs in class, find them on your computer, and then practice sending one to use on your embroidery machine. Fri., Dec. 2 $20 Make It Big - Version 2 Kate In this class you will use your software to bring in multiple designs to fill the Mega Hoop and edit them to make a cute design any child will love. Then, in the second half of this class, we will stitch it out on your embroidery machine using your Mega Hoop. Sat., Dec. 3 $35 How to Mark Your Quilt Top Linda Learn various techniques to transfer quilting designs from books, stencils, etc. to your quilt blocks. After transferring the designs we will free motion quilt them. Tues., Dec. 6 $20 Explore BERNINA V6 Software - Plan a Quilt Gail Learn how to plan a quilt; add embroidery; determine how much fabric to buy; and how to print out pattern pieces for your blocks using the BERNINA V6 Software. Thurs., Dec. 8 $20 Quilter s Tote Bonnie Customized to fit your notions, rulers, hoops and other common sewing items that you carry to class and retreats. Mon. Dec. 12 & 19 $40 Towel Appliqué in the Hoop Kate We'll hoop up your towel and learn the techniques of machine embroidery appliqué in the hoop.
