The pattern, Grandmother s Sampler, by Lori Smith included your first block free. Come on subsequent months with your block done and get your second block fabric free. Each month it will work this way. If you don t get your block done you will have to pay $5.00 for your new block. We have the Friday and Saturday dates on different weeks to accommodate those having to be out of town on the first week-end. We will be using dark colors like Moda Kansas Troubles. We will be finishing Grandmother s Sampler by Lori Smith soon. Watch for the new Friday Saturday Sampler beginning in January. The NEW Friday-Saturday Sampler Friday Dates: November 1 st, and December 6 th Saturday Dates: November 9th, and December 14 th Time: 11:30-12:00 Cost: Must purchase the Eleanor Burns book, El s Kitchen, at Karen s Quilt Corner Start in on fun with Eleanor in El s Kitchen. 3 New BOM First Ladies Civil War Quilt Friday Dates: October 4 th, November 1 st, and December 6 th Saturday Dates: October 12th, November 9th, and December 14 th Time: 11 a.m. 11:30 a.m. Cost $25.00 per month We are so excited to announce our newest block of the month with Windham Fabrics! First Ladies is a twelve month program that began in September and honors the wives of the presidents of the United States, some well-known and some more obscure. The finished quilt measures 102 x 102. At the end of the twelve month program, you will have received all of the block patterns and fabric that you will need for your quilt top and binding. You can sign up for this program now! Beginning Quilting Dates: October 17th, November 21st, and December 12 th Time: 4 to 7 PM Cost: $30.00 plus supplies and book Start quilting today with learning the proper way to cut and piece your quilt. We will be doing a sampler from Alex Anderson s Start Quilting Book. You will learn to read a quilting pattern and how to measure correctly and piece that perfect ¼ seam. Thimbleberries Club Same dates as the Saturday Sampler Dates: October 12 th, November 9th, and December 14th Time: 12:00-12:30 Cost: Free with the purchase of the 1quilt kit and the $29.95 book. Thimbleberries Club is back with fun quarterly quilts. Join us for the last of the 4 quilts. These quilts are fun and easy. We will be doing Quilt #4, Bittersweet Stars made up of Friendship Stars and Split 9-Patch Blocks. This quilt is 60 by 60 when finished. Try some new ways to piece your quilt. Fun new fabrics are used to make this quilt. Join us for this great daytime class. Babylock Everyday Software Club will resume in January. Open Sewing, Quilting, and Embroidery Dates: November 12 th and December 10th Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: Free No instructor will be in the classroom, instructor assistance will be available when time permits and help will abound from one another. Come join us for a day of fun doing open sewing, quilting, or embroidery. If you need a little help with a project this is the class for you! Babylock Serger Club will resume in January with exciting classes and new projects. Thangles Tree Skirt Date: November 5 th Time: Evening class 5 to 8 Cost: $15.00 per supplies The is the new and easy 2013 Thangles Tree Skirt. Join us for a night of fun in making this quick project kfrom your favorite holiday prints. Pattern included free in the cost of the class. Watch for the new Thangles Block Quilt beginning in the next calendar quarter starting with January. Feels Like Spring Embroidery and Appliquéd Quilt Weekday Dates: October 10 th, November 14 th, and December 12 th Saturday Dates: October 26 th, November 16 th, and December 21 st Time: 10 to 3 AM Cost: $15.00, plus Feels Like Spring CD Program, and block kits or fabric supplies. We will continue this embroidery block of the month using your embroidery machine and Smith Streets new embroidery CD. Feels Like Spring is an appliquéd group of patterns for embroidery machines. Daffodils, Tulips, Lilies of the Valley, Pansies, Roses, Vinca Vines, Clematis, and Passion Flowers are presented in a variety of combinations with different ways to repeat and make larger designs for a total of 21 blocks. Complete instructions for a variety of layouts include a bed size quilt, a lap quilt, and a bed runner. This quilt project will end in December.

5 Patchabilities of the Month Date: October 30 th, November 27 th, December 18 th Time: 10 to 1 or 5 to 7 Cost: $15.00 kit includes the pattern and fabric. Button kits and hangers are extra. Join us for the patchabilities class or stop in and pick up your kit each month. If you don t live here and would like to do this each month, we can ship it to you. These are great little appliqué projects that are great wall hangings for that small area needing some color and cheer. Mariner s Compass Embroidery Class Date: September 5 th Time: 10 to 1 or 5 to 8 Cost: $15.00 per class or $30.00 for the three classes Anita Goodesign Special Edition Mariner s Compass CD and Fabric or fabric blocks All of the quilt blocks are created in your embroidery hoop. This collection has been designed to be compatible with all Anita Goodesign s Mix and Match Quilting collections. Collections include 15 compass designs, 10 curved designs to create circular patterns and over 40 different border designs and 19 individual stitched designs. 6 Glitzy T-Shirts for Sweatshirts Date: November 2 nd Time: 10 to 3 Cost: $15.00 plus supplies We ll be using the Embroidery and Crystal Combo packs to make festive t- shirts and / or sweatshirts. These will make great seasonal and attractive apparel. They will also make great gifts. There is a large variety of designs to choose from and one for every occasion. Come in and have a good time doing a little machine embroidery. Review the techniques of hooping and how to put crystals on the easy way.
