1 APRIL 2018 CLASSES Learn to Make a Quilt Lynn (Sewing Machine Class) Buy a charm pack and learn to make a fun quilt without having to worry about matching tons of seams. Learn to cut, piece, quilt, and bind your creation. This class is designed for beginning quilters who want to make a quilt from start to finish. Completed project is 37.5 x Four class sessions. Tuesday, April 10, 24, May 1 & 8 $90 Add Embroidery Fonts to Your Software Cathy (Computer Class) Want more embroidery fonts in your V8 Software or DesignWorks Software? Take this class to learn how to download, install, and use the free fonts that are on the internet. How to improve the stitch out of the fonts in the V8 Software will also be discussed. Tuesday, April 10 $30 Swingset Skirt Cindy (Sewing Machine Class) A simple, fully lined skirt that features an elastic casing and a drawstring that ties at the side. This is a great beginner sewing project where you will learn sewing terms, reading a pattern, how to trace a pattern, cutting out the skirt, finishing seams, and making a buttonhole; It s also a fast skirt to make your favorite girl. (This is a sewing machine class and you may use your serger too.) Friday, April 13 $40 Monogram Beach (or pool) All-In-One Towel Tote Linda (Embroidery & Sewing Machine Class) Create this useful tote to take to the pool or beach. Easy to carry over the shoulder, your beach towel folds into the tote; it can also hold essentials such as car keys and sun-block. Please let us know what monogram initials you want to embroider on the towel tote before class; Linda will prepare them. You have to see this monogram style it s perfect for toweling! Thursday, April 19 $40 Digitize Designs with V8 Embroidery Software Gail (Computer Class) Using the tools found in the BERNINA Embroidery Software V8, practice digitizing designs and learn shortcut keys on your computer keyboard. This will be a new design to digitize. 2 MAY 2018 CLASSES Big Bloomin Quilt Chris (Sewing Machine Class) This quilt is fun, fast and easy to construct. In class, we will focus on fabric selection and creating the perfectly imperfect raw-edged appliqued flowers. A great project for beginners and advanced quilters can come and learn a new technique! Tuesday, May 8 $30 Jelly Roll Rug Sue (Sewing Machine Class) Got extra Jelly Rolls or strips of fabric and don t know what to do with them? Make a rug! Have fun creating your one-of-a-kind rug. Finished rug measures 30 x 44. Wednesday, May 9 9:30-1:30 $40 Cake Mix Quilt Cathy (Sewing Machine Class & optional Embroidery Quilting in the Hoop) Choose one of our Cake Mix recipe cards and a Layer Cake of fabric to make a fun quilt. Each cake mix allows you to lay out your own quilt style. After we construct the quilt top, let s choose a way to quilt it and then finish it off with binding. *Quilting can be either walking foot, free-motion, or quilting in the embroidery hoop - you pick.* Wednesday, May 16, 23,30 & June 6 $60 Chai Tee Cindy (Sewing Machine or Serger Class) Simple and stylish pull-on top is much more than a basic tee. Some projects are stitched completely in the hoop and some finish up with the sewing machine. Each class will use Dealer Exclusive embroidery designs that are not yet available to purchase and some you can only receive by attending this class. Make sure you bring your USB stick for the files and embroidery designs. Supplies are purchased separately. Register early to reserve your space in these fun embroidery classes.
