Some samples are finished and ready to go; others need a little finishing but the work is done! Our Pre-Inventory Clearance Sale will begin the day after Christmas and will feature our famous Skinny Bolt Sale! Skinny bolts have less than 4 yards on them. Purchase all the fabric and get it for 35% off! Great for backings for smaller projects or borders for larger projects! We have some new machines from Pfaff available and will have a Pfaff Educator visiting us to teach us about Sergers. We d love to help you find the right machine for you. 2 Class Policies: Sign ups will begin on October 26, 2013 at 12 noon. You may only sign up two people for each class/event (i.e. yourself & a friend) Class fee must be paid at time of registration. Telephone registrations will be held for one week. Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation. Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting oops and you need more fabric!) 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO RE- FUNDS. If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time. If you like a class, but cannot make the time it is scheduled, please call to put your name on a waiting list specifying different date. Saturday Classes Fat Quarter Bag Gather up your fat quarters and get ready for some fun! Here s a fabulous Christmas Tree Skirt pattern we found using the bargello technique. It s sure to be an heirloom! Accurate cutting and stitching is required along with rotary cutting experience and pattern purchase. Wednesdays Nov 13, 20, Dec 4, 11 6:30-8:30 with Mindy $35.00 Beginning Quilting This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of quilting while creating 3 wonderful projects. Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and achieving a 1/4 inch seam. Beginning Quilting will prepare you for nearly all classes presented at Quilts and Treasures, Inc. We ll be happy to help you choose your fabrics. Class discount on all class supplies. Pattern and ruler purchase required Friday, November with Valerie $10.00 Beginning Machine Quilting This introductory class in Machine Quilting will teach you how to use your sewing machine to achieve beautiful results as an alternative to tying your quilts. The class will cover cross hatching, echoing, stippling, and other free motion techniques. Walking foot and darning (stippling) foot for your machine required. Quarter inch foot is helpful. Monday, December 16, noon with Valerie $10.00 Needles & Notions Paper Pieced Patterns with a Sewing Room Theme This is a paper pieced Block of the Month Class that will have a fabric kit available each month for a 6 block. All of your favorite sewing supplies are represented for a great quilting room wall hanging! The book has patterns for 4 blocks as well and shows a number of finishing options. Book purchase and intermediate paper piecing experience required.
