Requirements for class will only be given out on payment of registration. Class fees are non-refundable. You may transfer to another class up until 7 days prior to scheduled class. This class covers the basics of cutting, stitching and re-squaring your blocks and will set you on the path to making many beautiful quilts in the future. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Quilters rulers Beginners Machine Sampler (Beg) $ x 2 ½ hrs, with Gayle Jones. 12:30-3:00 Tuesday May 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th & June 2nd & 9th. Join Gayle and over six weeks learn all the different techniques to make up the nine blocks in this lovely Sampler Quilt. You are sure to have some fun and a few laughs along the way. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board and Quilters rulers Words of Wisdom Applique (Beg-Int) $ x 2 ½ hrs, with Robyn Macdonald. 9:30-12:00 Wednesday May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th & June 3rd & 10th. Nine different applique blocks, each with a different saying be it Hope, Love, Peace etc Join Robyn to make this lovely quilt over six weeks and see if you can jog her memory into remember what the saying on each block is. Fairies from the Bottom of the Garden (Int) $ x 2 ½ hrs, with Robyn Macdonald. 9:30-12:00 Wednesday May 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th. These lovely garden fairies will delight all. This quilt consists of four blocks with different fairies hidden amongst the garden flowers. This is an Int class, previous appliqué experience necessary

5 PAGE 5 PAGE 5 Beginners Appliqué Sampler (Beg) $ x 2 ½ hrs, with Robyn Macdonald. 12:30-3:00 Wednesday May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th & June 3rd & 10th. Join Robyn for six lessons covering all the basics of needle turn appliqué. At the end of the six weeks you will have a beautiful appliquéd quilt top ready to be quilted, Robyn can also show you the basics of how to hand quilt your masterpiece. Sashed (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Sue Drill. 9:30-3:00 Saturday May 9th. A simple two colour quilt with the ascending and descending strip width, making up the pattern. With simple narrow black sashing strips to set it all off and to keep your ¼ accurate. This quilt can be made from a small cot quilt, all the way up to a queen size bed quilt. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Quilters rulers Curved Log Cabin (Beg-Int) $ x 5 hrs with Sue Drill. 9:30-3:00 Saturday May 9th. I used two Jelly Rolls of Bali fabrics designed by Stephanie Prescott, for this quilt. But I can also let you know the fabric requirements if you are cutting off the bolt. This quilt is not for the complete novice, as you do need to be able to sew an accurate ¼ seam to keep the blocks square. I just love the way the light strips stand out and give the illusion of curves. And all from straight strips rulers required for class. Harmony (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Gayle Jones. 9:30-3:00 Saturday May 16th. A Modern geometric quilt that works well with any colour combination. Strip piecing makes this a quick and easy quilt, with pre-cutting. Pattern purchase required Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Quilters rulers required for class.

6 Bali Summer Fruit Salad (Beg) $50.00 PAGE 6 PAGE 6 1 x 5 hrs, with Gayle Jones. 9:30-3:00 Saturday May 16th Fat ¼ s and a background fabric make this lovely easy to make lap quilt. If you haven t made a quilt using Bali fabrics then do yourself a favour and try them in this lovely little quilt, no fraying, no stretch and they iron just beautifully. Bring along your Beginners Patchwork blocks and I will show you how to put them together into a quilt. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board and Quilters rulers Sun Bonnet Sue (Beg-Int) $ x 2 ½ hrs, with Elonor Milewski. 9:30-12:00 Monday May 18th & 25th. Do you have a little girl in your life that you want or need to make a special quilt for? If so come and join Elinor and make this pretty little Sunbonnet Sue quilt. Elinor used shrinking sheet on the dress s and bonnet s of her girls to add dimension, and they look and feel great. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Quilters rulers One for the Boys (Beg-Int) $ x 5 hrs, with Sue Drill. 9:30-3:00 Saturday May 23rd Using only one colour in four different shades and one simple block, this dramatic and graphic quilt is the result. Accuracy is all important so that all the points meet. And I will show you a way of getting eight half square triangles out of two squares of fabric. A very handy recipe to have. Have you ever wanted to learn how to Hand Quilt? Join Robyn for this 2 ½ hr workshop and she will explain to you all the in s and out s of Hand Quilting. Big Block Quilt (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Davena Watts. 9:30-3:00 Saturday June 6th Use that beautiful fabric you just can t cut up, for this fast and fun quilt. The blend of the feature fabric with a stripe and coordinating prints all go together to make this great quilt. I love how the borders and the quilt center all blend together. Pre-cutting is required prior to class Another scrap quilt to add to your collection. I know a lot of quilters out there with hidden stashes; old left over strips, off cut s, left over binding and sashing strips dig in ladies and put those old fabrics to work making up this great scrap quilt, or use a bundle of fat 1/8 s or fat ¼ s that need cutting up rulers. rulers.

Another quick and easy scrap quilt from Judith, a quick project using either a range of fabrics in fat 1/8 s or work out of your scrap basket. Judith used 37 different prints and scrap wideback fabric as the background. This quilt pattern is easy to adjust from a small cot quilt up to a large queen size bed quilt.. rulers. Grid Locked (Beg-Int) $ x 5 hrs, with Judith Lubieniecki. 9:30-3:00 Saturday June 13th. Sounds like Perth streets at the moment! But this quilt is one that you can move around under, with super large pieces, it comes together quickly and uses only three fabrics. Great for small or large print fabrics. rulers. Sewing Machine Mat (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Susan Hartley. 9:30-3:00 Saturday June 20th. Make a mat for your sewing machine to sit on, with pockets across the front to keep all your sewing essentials plus phone and chocolates close at hand. Circular Play Quilt (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Susan Hartley. 9:30-3:00 Saturday June 20th. Make the new baby in your life a floor play quilt with a difference. This ocean themed play quilt will be a gift everyone will love. Using piecing and machine appliqué, you will stitch wedges into a circle and decorate with machine appliqué fish. I will show you the easy press and stitch way of mitering the corners on the blocks. I will also take you through the steps to miter with multiple borders as you might add to a full size quilt. rulers Beginners Foundation Piecing (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Sue Drill. 9:30-3:00 Saturday June 27th A nice easy block for beginners, but with long tapered points that are hard to piece but work so well for foundation piecing. The blocks when put together look like a Bird of Paradise or Strelitzia plant. rulers. Machine Quilting Workshop (Beg) $ x 5 hrs, with Davena Watts. 9:30-3:00 Saturday July 4th. In this workshop Davena will take you through all the basics of Machine quilting. Techniques covered include straight lines, Curved stencils, stippling and free hand flowers.
