Every effort is made to help you during class time to get your project finished. There may be a bit of homework on your part,... but our classroom is open for your use if there is not another class taking place! Anytime! Any project! Call ahead and you can come in a use the whole classroom for your sewing time! We are here to help with over 120 years of combined knowledge to share with you! 2 9-Patch Lap Quilt The classic 9 Patch from start to finish. You will work through the cutting of strips, accurate ¼ seams, piecing the blocks, quilt top assembly, layering up, quilting and binding. Kay has taught this class for us for years and it always fills. She will share her knowledge of basic building blocks for great technique. And a super quilt too. Class fee: $59.00 Pattern cost: Tuesdays May 22, 29, & June 5, 12, 19 6:00 p.m. -9:00p.m. 5 Saturdays July7,14,28 & Aug 4,11 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. 5 Wednesdays Oct 3,10,17,24,31 6:00 p.m. -9:00p.m. Radiating Beauty Radiating Beauty is a great way to combine shades of color together into a colorful quilt. Measuring 48" square, this simple pieced design uses four different shades of each color going from very light to very dark to create each block. 2 Thursdays May 31 & June 7 Class fee $30.00 Pattern cost $ 9.50 Dresden Plate Candle Mat Dresden Plates made easy, then layered and stitched to a round background for a lovely quilted centerpiece for any table, or wall art. Class fee $25.00 Pattern cost $ 8.00 Saturday May 26 1:00-5:00 Saturday Oct 20 1:00-5:00 Hand Appliqué Join Marcy and learn the time honored technique of hand stitched appliqué. Marcy will share with you several tips and tricks to get stunning results on turned under edges- then stitched nearly invisible. 3 Saturdays June 2, 16, & 30 1:00-4:00 Class Fee: $40.00 Pattern cost: $15.00

3 Versatile Wave Purse This class meets with Janice. She is, you know, our purse making queen. The gentle wave on the top edge is only the beginning of the excitement. The outer cover is reversible, so make a summer bag now, and reverse for the next season or holiday or just because you can. 2 Mondays June 11 & 18 6:00-9:00 Class fee $ Pattern cost $12.00 Little Cutie This small coin purse is a great project to make for gifts. Make it using patch work or a solid fabric and add a monogram. If you would like. Class Fee: $25.00 Pattern 4.50 UFO Finish Do you have an Un-Finished Object lying around? These four hours are just for that little extra push to get it closer to completion. Kay will be there every step of the way for encouragement and assistance. Friday June 22 1:00 4:00 Saturday June 23 1:00-5:00 Class fee $10.00 Sashiko (Japanese hand work) Sashiko is a traditional craft that is easily accessible to anyone with needle, thread, and fabric. This type of needlework originated among the common people of Japan and was the great pride of Japanese women. 4 BQ2 Quilt Do you have a large print fabric that you absolutely love but are not sure what to do with it. This is the perfect quilt. Bring in your beautiful fabric and pick out only two fabrics to add to it to create this great quilt. Marcy has made numerous for kids and adults. 2 Wednesdays June 27 & July 18 1:00 4:00 Class fee: $30.00 Pattern cost: $8.00 Around Center Attraction This pattern teaches you a fun and quick method for making crazy block squares. Then just add a matching or contrasting border fabric for the scallop border. Use a little trim to tie them together. 2 Thursdays June 28 & July12 6:00-9:00 Class fee $ Pattern cost $ 9.00 Beginning Paper Piecing Have you seen quilts with really tiny pieces or really sharp points that are perfect? You can now be one of those people others are asking about. How does she do that? Kay will tech you how to paper piece using a simple Christmas (Christmas in July) stocking pattern she has designed herself. Tuesday July 10 1:00 4:00 Class fee: $ 25.00

5 Bitty Lonestar using Quiltsmart Have you always wanted to make a lonestar quilt? Thought it was too difficult? Kay will guide you by using rectangles- not 60 degree diamonds to create about a 28 in square. Preprinted fusible interfacing is the magic ingredient. The construction does not use Y seams either. Easy! Quilt smarter-not harder 2 Mondays July 16 & 30 Class fee $ Pattern and interfacing Kit cost $ Oh Christmas Tree (in July) Oh Christmas Tree is small paper pieced wall hanging perfect for those who have done small amount of paper piecing or those who are experienced paper piecers. Six different Christmas tree fabrics make up this holiday wall hanging. This quilt pattern measures 12" x 14 1/2",and makes a great gift for Christmas tree lovers. 2 Tuesdays July 17 & 31 1:00 4:00 Class fee $30.00 Pattern cost $8.00 Floating Tumbling Blocks Floating Tumbling Blocks is unusual because it doesn't have any set-in seams. Measuring 48.5" x 40.5", you will enjoy making this pieced quilt 2 Mondays August 6 & 20 because it's so easy! Make it as big as you like by adding on blocks, though the one shown has 17 blocks & uses three different tone-on-tone fabrics. Class fee $30.00 Pattern cost $8.00

6 Diamond Play Runner Want to make an easy Table Runner that looks intricate? It s the interlocking diamonds that fool the eye. And best of all it is a quilt- as-yougo so when you are done, you are done. Thursday Aug 9 6:00-9:00 Class Fee $20.00 Pattern Cost $ 9.00 Take to Class Bag This is the big bag! Carry all your supplies to class in this oversized tote. Made especially to fit a cutting mat, ruler, and all your project stuff for bringing to class. Works great for towels to the beach or blankets for the sleep-over too! 2 Wednesdays Aug 22 & Sept 5 6:00-9:00 Class fee $ Pattern Cost $8.00 Josephine s Knot You could not ask for a simpler pattern that makes up to be such a stunning quilt. Rows of squares and rectangles intertwine to add interest to this lap, twin, queen or king size quilt. 7 Kids Summer Sewing Club Summer is here! School is out for the year! It is time to sew! This year Kay and Janice have chosen three projects that can be finished in one or two days. For a better use of time they have decided to offer them at three different times. Wednesday & Thursday July 25 & 26 1:00-4:00 Star Quilt Kids Can Make Kay will guide kids through the process of creating this simple quilt block. It will finish about 13 inches square and can be use as a small wall hanging or a hot pad Cost: $30.00 Monday July 9 1:00-4:00 Pattern: $ 8.00 Easy Seam Pillowcase Janice has become an expert at making pillowcases and sew will you. With only two sewn seams a pillowcase can be made in no time. You will have a perfect gift for all of your family and friends. Cost: $20.00 Pattern: FREE Tuesday & Wednesday August 7 & 8 1:00-4:00 Quilt Kids can Make Kids will love making this quilt. The quilt is sewn on then enveloped It can be used as a doll quilt, dresser scarf, or a place mat. Cost: $30.00 Pattern: $8.00
