The clarifications, modifications, deletions and/or additions contained herein shall take precedent over drawings, specifications and previously issued addenda. All requirements of the originally issued Bidding and Contract Documents or previous Addenda, which are not specifically altered by this Addendum, shall remain in full force and effect. The Contractor shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum as provided for on Document Bid Form. The Pre-Bid Conference was held as at the site at the Support Services Center (MLA), 1002 S. 3 rd Ave., Marshalltown, Iowa on Tuesday, September 10, :30 p.m. as scheduled. Reference: Drawing Sheets: AD101, AP101, AC101 b. Description: Due to the scheduled demolition of the south wall and the construction of a new south wall, the ceiling grid will need to be expanded to fit the new space. Reinstall and add new ceiling tiles as required to fill the new grid. 3. Ceiling Access: a. Reference: Drawing Sheets: AP101, AP102, MP101, EP101, EP102 b. Description: Due to the scheduled changes and additions to the existing mechanical and electrical systems. Remove the existing SAT ceiling systems and / or FRP Ceiling Panels as at Lower level, as required to perform work, reinstall tiles / panels when work is completed, replace all tiles damaged due to the construction process. Description: Under Alternate G-3, door 101A and the corresponding existing interior vestibule door shall both receive new automatic door openers per Section The Electrician shall provide power to a new junction box above the ceiling at each door location. The existing interior door has been assigned door number 101C. 7. Aluminum Entrances: a. Reference: Drawing Sheets: AP102; Specifications: Alternates, Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefronts. b. Description: All aluminum storefronts shall be: Kawneer 451UT, Manko 5450i, Tubelite TU24000, or equal. 8. Window Blind Controls a. Reference: Drawing Sheets: A-602; Specification Sections: Aluminum Windows b. Description: The tilt controls shall be permanent knurled knobs. At fixed glazing (no screens) the knobs shall be equal to WACI standard Straight knobs. Removable tools or wrenches will not be accepted. At operable windows (with screens) the knobs shall be equal to WACI Extended Straight knobs and shall penetrate the screen at a rubber grommet hole sized for the knob penetration. 9. IT Department (B43) Changes: a. Reference: Drawing Sheets: AD101, AP101, AC101; Supplemental Drawings: ADD #02-A1, ADD #02-A2 b. Description: The South wall of room B43 shall be moved farther south, the drinking fountain in locker room B41 moves to the adjacent chase wall, a new stub wall is added to divide the new kitchenette casework from the IT work bench area and added wall cabinets. Door B41C moves to the adjacent wall and switches form a LHR to a RHR operation. See attached Supplemental Drawing(s). 10. Roof/Ceiling Fire Membrane: a. Reference: Drawing Sheets: AC104, MH104; Supplemental Drawing: ADD #02-A4 b. Description: On the third floor the new fire membrane shall be raised up between the joist spaces which contain the new main ducts coming off the new fan coil units. 3 C. Mechanical Items: 1. Duct Airflow Measuring Station Specification: Add the following Paragraph 2.11 to Section : 2.11 AIRFLOW MEASURING STATIONS A. Duct Airflow Station: 1. Frame: Welded galvanized-steel frame. 2. Sensing Probes: Multiple air traverse probes mounted within the station frame containing multiple total and static pressure sensors arranged in equal areas across the station s face area. 3. Sensors: Located along the exterior surface of the sensing probes, and internally connected to averaging manifolds. The flow sensors shall be the offset (Fechheimer) type for static pressure and chamfered impact type for total pressure measurement. 4. Pressure and Flow Transmitter: Multiprocessor-based transmitter capable of receiving flow signals from an air flow station and producing an output linear and scaled for air volume, velocity, and differential pressure. Transmitter shall contain a digital display for one transmitter output, and transmit an air flow volume output signal to the BMS. 5. Accuracy: Transmitter shall operate within the range of 0.05 to 25.0-inches wg. and produce a signal with an accuracy of 0.25 percent of natural span. Air flow station shall have an accuracy of plus or minus 2.0 percent of actual air flow. 6. Air Monitor Corporation Volu-probe/VS with a Velton DPT 2500-plus transmitter. 7. Ebtron, Inc. Gold Series Thermal Dispersion Airflow / Temperature Measurement Devices with a C Density and with a Model GTA116-PC transmitter may be utilized if equivalent performance can be provided. 2. Cabinet Unit Heaters: a. Reference: Drawing Sheet MD101. b. Description: Existing cabinet unit heaters in Locker Rooms B39 and B41 will remain including all piping and controls. Do not remove. Keynote 2 is removed. 3. Ductwork Revisions: a. Reference: Revised Drawing Sheets MH103 and MH104 (attached). b. Description: Revisions to grilles, ductwork and dampers. 4. HVAC Piping Revisions: a. Reference: Revised Drawing Sheets MP101, MP103 and MP104 (attached). b. Description: Added references to details, added zone shutoff and balancing valves and relocated thermostats. 5. Clarification on Chilled Water Flow Diagrams: a. Reference: Drawing Sheet M-501, New 11 x 17 Sheet ADD2-M1 (attached). b. Description: 1) Clarified the equipment being piped with chilled water for this project. Attached Sheet ADD2-M1. 2) Added buffer tank to chiller piping diagram. Attached Sheet ADD2-M1. 6.
