5 FDM Current Status Highlights: PPM has 63 chapters, FDM will have 87 chapters 3 Parts Development and Processes Design Criteria Plans Production First draft for 79 of the 87 chapters are complete Intersection and Roadside Safety chapters; 99% Shop Drawing chapter; 50% (construction has lead) Bicycle and Pedestrian chapters; 75% Interchanges, Turnouts, and Freight are future chapters

17 FDM Implementation Strategy Effective Dates.. Implement 2018 FDM on Design-Bid-Build projects not yet begun. Criteria contained in 2018 FDM may be applied at the discretion of the District. Implement 2018 FDM on Design-Build projects that have an advertisement date November 1, 2017 or later; however, the use of criteria contained in the FDM that is different from the concept plans or specified in the RFP, will only be allowable when approved through the ATC process. Implement 2018 FDM on PD&E Projects that have the Public Hearing scheduled in April 2018 or later. The 2017 PPM will apply through the completion of the project for projects that have the Public Hearing scheduled prior to April Criteria contained in 2018 FDM may be applied at the discretion of the District.
