1 Retreat 2017 February 16-19, 2017 Middle Tennessee Decorative Artist Will be hosting their 30th annual Retreat. Registration fees will be: Thursday Sunday $125. (member) Non-member $140. Friday-Sunday $115. (member) Non-member $130 We will have an optional boxed lunch on Thursday for an additional $9. 00
2 The lunch will consists of your choice Ham or Turkey sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie and drink. If you want one, please sign up on the registration sheet. You must be registered to attend meals, classrooms, and other activities. Your registration includes dinner Thursday, lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday and Sunday lunch. Room Reservations You are responsible for making your own reservations at Holiday Inn Express ( ) which is connected to the conference center. We have a block of rooms reserved under MTDA. The hotel serves a continental breakfast, has an indoor pool, hot tub and small exercise room. Paint Room Registration will start at 10:00am on Thursday. Please allow us to set up tables in the big room prior to you setting anything on the tables. The paint room will be open Friday 7:00am to close at 12am. (Midnight). Please be courteous to your neighbors by not spreading out and taking up too much space. You will need to bring your normal painting supplies and any special supplies needed for classes. Conference Center We are very fortunate to hold our Retreat at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center. As a requirement of our rental agreement, we need to follow their guidelines, as well as courtesies. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are allowed in the Conference Center at any time. Keep your floor area clear (so no one will trip and fall) and clean up any spills promptly. Please do not dispose of used paint water in the commodes or sinks in the restrooms. We will have paint bucket placed in the paint rooms. Door Prizes To be eligible to receive a door prize, you must bring a homemade item to donate for a door prize. Item should be a minimum value of $ It can be hand painted, sewn, quilted, crocheted, etc. Nothing perishable please. Item must be wrapped, and your name on the outside of the wrapping. Make It Take It Information : Selling Make-it-Take-it Projects; Everyone is encouraged to bring projects for the Make-it-Take-it tables. These are some of the most coveted projects. You may bring as many as you would like with a fee of only $3.00 per project. This must be paid at registration. You must have a painted sample piece to display, project surface, a pattern pack, with written instructions, line drawings, and a color photo for each piece for sale.you must include on your display site, all the paint and other supplies needed to finish the project. Bring a large envelope with your name on it, project name, price and place on the table. Please collect all your money each evening, before retiring. Project tables are not to be discounted until Sunday morning. Purchasing MITI- please place your money in the envelope provided before removing project. Do not take anything until you have paid. Take your palette to the MITI table. Do NOT remove paint, or samples. Sales Tables Tables will be available for rent for $5.00 each. You may only rent one table to sell items you no longer need or want. Reserve yours early. No items can be sold at Retreat without renting a table. You can use under the table for sale items, do not spread out more than 1 foot around your table. Again bring a large envelope with your name, please remove money before you retire. No mark downs until Sunday morning. No free items on these tables.
3 Art Show The Art Show is for all registered guests at the Retreat. Two levels, Professional & non Professional; both will have all categories. Only one item per category per person, you may enter as many categories as you like. Bring your own easel, no NAMES are allowed to show, please cover your name. Do not divulge your entry. You may enter items, Thursday from 10am-8pm, or Friday 8am-2pm. A number will be assigned to each entry. Voting for both levels will be by everyone who returns their ballot. Winners will be announced at the Banquet Saturday evening. All pieces will be displayed with ribbons until Sunday noon. Reminder- We are all here to PAINT, eat, LAUGH. Make new friends catch up with past friends. Smile it s FREE. This is our wonderful Chapter event, volunteer. Be part of the solution, step up. We need you.
