I rely on my skills as a photographer rather than my skills in post production on a computer. I specialize in European cityscapes and western and Great Plains landscapes. Once the painting is complete, the painting is placed in storage for another six months allowing the texture and layers of paint to dry. The paint is blended using a palette knife on the canvas. Silver is then applied as the image emerges. A two part epoxy is then mixed and applied bringing forth deeper, richer colors. I paint directly in my computer and use the finished digital paintings as printing plates for producing archival-quality limited edition prints on paper and canvas using Epson ink jet technology and pigment-based inks. I hunt the globe for the perfect light in order to portray the wide array of emotions the sky has to offer.
