I start off with a wet felting process to make my base tapestry and then use a special barbed needle to poke the tiny wool fibers in to create detail. Then it is framed or hung as tapestry. I create free-hand textured mandalas with acrylic paints in the style of henna body art on canvas in an attempt to capture the ephemeral nature of this art onto more enduring surfaces. 4/7

Than I start by finding the flow of the shapes and sometimes even create new colors or push colors further. I use Rosemary brushes from England made out of natural hair and will finish a piece with palette knife. I use a sharpen point 1" dowel to draw a picture with the paint. I pre-conceive an image yet let expressive non-objective grace to happen with the scheme. I finish the coloring with water based oil paints.
