Yes it was 2002 when we opened and now we re starting our 15th year. It s exciting to be ushering in a new season of fabric with a whole new host of inspirations from local teachers and artisans. Visit us during our Annual Anniversary Sale, starting August 25th, where we will be putting the fabric on sale through Labor Day. 3 Back to School: Beginning Quilt Making with Desa Omli Learn the art of Quilt-making this fall in our popular eight week class with Desa Omli. Our Beginning Quilt Making series starts September 22nd for 8 weeks on Thursdays, 10a-1p or 6-9p. Cost is $160 plus fabric and supplies (approx. $150). Well worth all the effort as graduates testify, this class is the number one class for new or new again quilters. Learn all the elements of quilt making, start to finish, in this class taught by local instructor Desa Omli. Students make a sampler quilt learning new skills and techniques each week. Classroom instructional s are taught each week in class while machine sewing is done at home so you don t need to bring your sewing machine to class. The instructor will assign weekly homework that you ll sew at home. Stop in to sign up and pick up a supply list soon as this class fills fast. Space is limited for this class. From pumpkin patches to freshly pressed apple cider to a peaceful walk in the field, you ll find a variety of activities that celebrate the bounty of the fall harvest. The participating farms and businesses include 21 Acres, Apple Farm Village, BarnPlace Farm, Dr. Maze s Farm, Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop, Minea Farm and Molbak s.

River Rock: New Block of the Month from Marcus Brothers and Sarah Maxwell, starting Mid October 2016. This is a beautiful batik quilt made with Primo Batiks from Marcus Fabrics.

5 River Rock: New Block of the Month from Marcus Brothers and Sarah Maxwell, starting Mid October This is a beautiful batik quilt made with Primo Batiks from Marcus Fabrics. This is a 9 month block of the month program. The blocks are big and confident beginner friendly! Each month is a layer cake (a pack of 10" squares) so cutting is very easy. The pattern is by Sarah Maxwell of Designs by Sarah J. She creates a sophisticated palette of 32 earth-toned batiks that allows quilters to create subtle shades and textures. Her base of neutrals is beautifully highlighted with plums, teals and blues for a blended look. Final quilt size measures 77 1/2" x 85" but can be made larger if you ad an outer border. This is a 9 month program is scheduled to begin in Mid October, Cost of programs is $ plus tax.

Elizabeth Hartman just has the coolest patterns right now and this is the time to do Fancy Forest as our Saturday Sampler Sign ups to begin in November From Quiltmania: Elizabeth Hartman as always been enthusiastic about design and about animals too, the latter being her preferred source of inspiration for her illustrations.
